That's totally understandable Pyxis :) Sometimes if I'm ill or tired, I really should be in bed, but no, I lounge on the sofa making the place look untidy! :rotfl:

    Gosh! It does move fast!

    ........:starmod:......................................................................:starmod:.....................
Here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..

    - This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.

    - People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.

    - The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!

-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.

Similarly, if they want to discuss something that might be a trigger for some people, then posting PENGUIN would be a warning that what follows in the whiteout might be a trigger.

    - So, if you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.

"I would like to discuss something to do with [insert subject here], but I am concerned that this might be a trigger for some people. Is everyone OK if I post about that?"

Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.

It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it, (so please don't 'quote' a post containing a penguin onto the thread!)
    (Harmless example follows here):-
    PENGUIN

This is a penguin. A nasty, crotch biting penguin (CBP).
It isn't really! So you can look
    . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozGTv0hxhpc[/url]

    END OF PENGUIN

(NB on a tenth-page repost of the etiquette, you can see these penguiny words because they are white against the green 'quote' background. On a normal post, they will be white against white, and so won't be seen on the thread.)

IMPORTANT: It has been ascertained that some posters to this thread have found that there are certain subjects which act as triggers, precipitating a worsening of their condition.
To protect these posters, you are respectfully requested NOT to discuss these subjects on this thread:-

Religion. (Please note: it is recognised that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and we respect those beliefs. It is only because of the fact that religion does act as a trigger for some posters, that we exclude it from discussion.)
N.B. Please don't even mention the name of the religion.

The afterlife. The reason for this is explained in this thread by one poster, and there will be others for whom this is a trigger.

We ask and thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

    .........:starmod:.....................................................................:starmod:................

It should be pointed out that if anyone is feeling very distressed or close to a crisis, they do not have to worry about what they are posting, or whether it is a penguin for someone else or not. In a crisis situation, just post! We wouldn't want anyone to feel that they couldn't ask for help in case it's a penguin! The penguin thing only applies to a general discussion situation.

    - More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.

    ...............Thread Motto...............

Hello all! Big hugs to all that need them today!

I am as paranoid as a big paranoid thing. There is absolutely no reason for it other than the fact that I got myself in an awful state over the budget and I have probably caused a chemical imbalance. It is ridiculous, I am making poor WaSp whisper because I think people are lurking outside the door and people can hear us outside of the windows (we are on the first floor!). The healthy part of me knows I am being silly but it doesn't stop the terror, and it is sheer paralysing fear. It got to the point of me checking the new tv for listening devices and camera's this morning. I hate this because I know it isn't real but I still can't help checking just in case and I feel sick with anxiety and am shaking like a leaf. I also sent my carer away today, I just couldn't see her in case someone had put a bugging device on her. Stupid psychosis!

This will pass just like it always does. I just have to wait it out. (No one actually is tracking me, right? Please say no even though its stupid).

    I'm back!

There was an anti-spam glitch on another thread and my IP address got banned! Aaaaaaargh!

Gave me quite a fright! Thank goodness I'd read about it on the site feedback thread, but it still upset me!

If it happens to you, don't worry, try again in about half an hour.
I did send off a technical fault message. Just in case.

WaS, no-one, absolutely no-one is tracking you, I promise you!

There are NO bugs in the TV or in the camera or in anything in your flat.

There's no-one outside the window or door listening to you.

    I absolutely promise you that!

Also, if that IP-banning thing happens to you, it's not happening to you, it's a random thing as part of the anti-spam measures that MSE are trying out.

You are safe! Team WaS is here, the jolly old Golden Lights Brigade! :T

    Afternoon my lovelies,

It was more of a chat than an interview. Was in for less than 10 mins. Said I had a bubbly personality. interesting as I took a valium before I went to the interview LOL!!!

I am one of 2 or 3 people in the running for the job. its only 8 hrs a week but regular.

Seems a nice place with nice people. So we shall see.

WaS there is no one tracking you. God bless my gran when she went in to a home. She had mental health issues was bi-polar which does make me worry in case it has skipped a generation!!!! When I went to visit her in the home she would say they are listening to us. So do understand.

You are safe here with us.

I am sat in the garden as its so nice.

    Yours

    Calley

All I can say to the poster who was worried about the tax credits issue. Is there any way you could even get 5 hours a week overtime, enough to tide you over but not enough to put stress on you?

The minimum wage wont rise to £9 until 2020 and even then its not going to be enough to offset the cut in tax credits. Iain Duncan Smith has already admitted this. Families are going to be hit hard as many working families are on working tax credits, because some employers know that if they pay minimum wage, WTC will top up that wage.

Its been proposed that the minimum wage rises to £7.20 by November but thats not the national living wage that some companies pay, thats £7.85. The Govt are hitting the working classes hard, middle classes as well and it tends not to be the working classes that vote for this party,

They allow large companies like vodafone to avoid paying tax, theyve made millions of people better off due to the inheritance tax issue. This isnt good news for a lot of working people, there are many people who are basically working poor even if both people work.

To be honest with you, the sight of Iain Duncan Smith laughing and fist pumping at changes that will put many people into poverty was just horrendous.

The Conservative party could tax the rich and by rich I mean super rich, but they choose to punish the poor instead.

Sorry if that's uncomfortable reading, but that's the way it is and it's not going to get any better over the next 5 years.

I hope anyone who is suffering due to the changes in tax credits issue manages to find a way of making extra income, it's going to affect me as well next year. But you get who you vote for, or in some cases, who people don't vote for.

Mind's response to the budget - I like their choice of words at the beginning (just wish they weren't necessary).

WaS, no-one is tracking you. The only people interested are your friends and people on this thread who have missed you. No-one here knows where you live (unless you have told them, and I'm sure you have only told trustworthy people) and no-one else is interested. There is no-one listening at the windows or doors, or trying to peek in.
