Melly - those shoes are lovely :) the heels are high though - I couldn't walk!

The dress is lovely on but not too flattering on the arms so it's shrug time :) Birdie you could totally wear that during the day!

Hubby got me out of bed! Parked me up in the sunshine painting the cot, so I am feeling a lot better.
He is currently painting half the nursery. We can't do the other half due to a roof leak bringing a load of plaster and rubble down. Waiting for the landlord to fix it but they won't until they have spoken to the neighbours landlord as they think it is their roof causing our problem. Means we are unlikely to have a useable room until after baby is born now. Stressing about it as our house is tiny, so all baby stuff is piled in the corner of the nursery as we have nowhere else to put it. Going to be hard having to rummage to find clothes, nappies etc once baby is here.

I'm happy he is making a start on it though. Just wish he was job hunting, but trying to stop myself nagging!

Calley how has your interview gone?

Melly have you had your meeting yet?

Yes - Moo and calley - do let us know how things went....

Moo - Have found your thread and will start reading but in the meantime (((((massive hug for you and OH))))))). I am SO with you on poorly parented, un-necessarily noisy small people.

Katy - good skills - I haven't budged an inch yet. It's not so much that I haven't got out of bed, as I don't really go to bed, but I haven't managed to do anything yet...........probably should go eat something.........that's a good idea......... just remembered the scotch tomatoes in my fridge I made yesterday ( I don't like scotch eggs - so OH gets scotch eggs and I make mine with little plum tomatoes in instead)

Hang on.... don't really go to bed?

As one who loves her bed deeply (sitting up working, fully dressed, right now - well, I have been ill) I need more details!!!! Are you a 'sleep in a chair' sort of person?

I'm dressed and in bed too! Not working though! Watching TV and t'internet at the same time! How slothy is that! And I'm not even ill any more!
When my new bedroom furniture came a week ago, I had had to bottom the room, blitzed it over the previous two weeks inc. curtains washed and windows cleaned. And of course, tidied. So it's the only room in the house that is clean and tidy plus I can smell the new wood of the furniture.
So it's a calmer environment than any other room and I prefer to be in here.

(Plus, if I don't see the bedlam that is the rest of the house, it doesn't exist, right?) :D

Oh don't get me wrong - I lurve my bed - I just don't get to sleep in it very much. Raving insomniac all my life. Average about 2-3 hours in bed at night in 40 minute sessions. C'est la vie and all that......it's lifelong so I have many strategies to cope with sleep deprivation.

I hate being in bed during the day time. Even if I'm ill, I still prefer to lie on the sofa. In the morning, once I'm awake I have to get up as I can't see the point in lying there. Then again, I find it hard to stay in the same place for too long without getting bored, or can't relax knowing there's jobs to be done, so that's probably why.

But, different strokes for different folks, and you should be where ever makes you happy and comfortable. :) I love the smell of new furniture Pyxis! Could do with some myself. Really want built in wardrobes, but D is fighting against that

I used to be like that, Georgie!
It's just that I've had so much minor illness over the last two years that I've got out of the habit of 'doing', and this week I haven't even been to Zumba! I do know why. I'll be restarting some meds next week, so that should act like a firework up the proverbial.

    Hope so, anyway!
