it can be very upsetting when you're feeling lonely, i've had periods where the only time i;ve talked to people for a week or two was people on forums, or that i;ve only spoken to people at work. It's quite isolating and not great for you (i mean yes we all need our own space now and then but too much isn't always a good thing). I remember my psych once telling me isolating myself was a symptom of the depression, that year i ended up doing a college course, i did drawing and painting. It was terrifying at first as i just wasn't used to people, but having something to go to weekly ended up being very therapeutic. Is there anything yo have an interest in, or anything you've always wanted to try? Maybe now, or in the near future might be a good time to find something you enjoy.
I don't ant you to feel like you will be alone forever. When i split with my ex (albeit he was an abusive !!!!!!) my self esteem was at an all time low, i as still ill and i felt nobody would ever ever ant to be with me, and that i could never be with anyone again. BUT i ended up meeting someone who despite their faults, ended up having a very positive effect on my life and well being. it made me understand that despite what i thought of myself, i could be with someone. There's the saying you have to learn to love yourself before anyone else can, and in some parts that feels true. You have to believe in yourself and see the positives. If you can be happy on your own that too is also a huge thing. It took a long time to learn i am ok on my own, and once i got that into my head it opened me up to meeting new people and moving on. It takes time, but if you want it to happen, it hopefully will
Thanks Beki, wish I could thank you a million times
I have just been out and pulled up some weeds and the compost bin :rotfl:it left a huge pile of dirt which is an ants nest.
I am trying desperately to forget about my ex Penguin
The problem is he use to be my neighbour. And his ex still lives next door which makes it hard. And no nothing happened when he was still with her. Also sounds like he had tough time. And he can't move on thinks everyone is going to take them for what he has. So now makes himself busy as he was not allowed to go and do his own thing and see his family and friends. But thought it was ok to up and disappear for weeks on end leaving me left going wondering what the hell was going on. I didn't want to see him everyday and never saw at him weekends. And its been on and off for 3 years. So hence why I am so mentally messed up. And I get to see his ex swaning around with her new boyfriend. Makes me feel fab!!!!
Penguin end
Right going to see if my mum is in and nip and grab some bags for rubbish. As depends on the weather going to have a go and getting rid of some more garden rubbish tomorrow. Dig up a the roots of a holly tree and look at buying some gravel as well!!!

Thanks for the advice MU, unfortunately it is a very small business so no HR dept, and I am the manager! I have reported all my concerns to the owners on numerous occasions but still nothing gets done. I even booked someone to come and look at the electrics but the owners found out and cancelled it and I got in trouble for booking something that would have required payment.
I took photos today of all the faulty equipment and I think tomorrow I may have to do an anonymous report to health and safety. Unless anyone else has any other ideas? Trying to get anything fixed or changed in-house is not working so I feel like reporting it must be the next step.
Only problem is I am not planning on returning after maternity leave so would need a reference from them.
OH has just been rubbing the bump singing to it and ended up getting kicked in the face again!
Calley, when is the best time to prune an apple tree?0 -
Calley, when is the best time to prune an apple tree?
Its very kind you think as me as some kind of gardener. Its just a wing and prayer I get by on LOL!!!
Anyway I have had a look and you can prune summer and winter. Does it have any apples on it? Might be worth waiting until after they are ripe.
Mind you I have cherries on my cherry tree and I am very merrily pruning away LOL!!!

I am. As well as being loving and attentive, caring and generous.
I know this sounds dumb. But I love having someone to buy little gifts for. My ex and I are both in to VW camper vans.
So its great that I could T-shirts and mugs etc for him. I was stupid enough to buy him stuff for his birthday in september that I put away!!!!
Hey ho. a lone I go LOL!!!

Calley, when is the best time to prune an apple tree?
Calley sod the ex, yes she may have moved on but that doesn't mean its going to be a good relationship etc. In regards to your ex going awol for weeks at a time isn't fair on anyone, hell i had it with my ex (though it was more days at a time)( and it drive me insane with worrying an not knowing hat the hell was happening.
Glad the gardening is something keeping you occupied
calley could the vw stuff you bought your ex be sold and the proceeds spent on treating yourself? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Is any one else watching the programme on CH4 about services for children with mental health problems who need hospitalisation? It's appalling how sketchy children's services are for kids in real crisis. Another one of those hidden cuts that don't seem to get aired very often - makes me feel both sad and angry. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
There are baby apples on the tree.
Trouble is the apples fall off in to the gutter under my bedroom window and attract wasps which get in to my room.
One thing I am terrified of more than jelly fish, is wasps!!
Not that jelly fish could get in to my room...
I hope!0 -

I know but it just seems so unfair that I can't have what I would like. But she gets what she wants. And from what I heard she always does. She has been married and divorced twice before she was with her/my ex for 10yrs!!!!
Yep same with me. i had no idea what was going on. He said to me the other night that I should have just let him go off and he would have come back. Oh well thats fine I just get to be on my own all the sodding time!!!!xXMessedUpXx wrote: »
