So glad you're having a good time WaS!
I forgot to say yesterday that I was brave and went to the dentist! It was actually OK, just a little bit of a clean needed but nothing scary or painful! Phew! I registered DS whilst I was there (he only has 8 teeth so far!) and he'll be invited to come with me in 6 months, so not only will I have my own fear to deal with, but his too!
But he won't have any fear, because the dentist will play with him and get him used to having things in his mouth, and you will laugh and joke and make it fun, even if you're quaking in your boots, because that's what mums do! They fake it! :rotfl:
I kept telling mine to look at the lovely spiders etc, because I didn't want them to inherit my fear, and do you know, in the end, I had persuaded myself that they were lovely! (See my signature!)
So you never know, if you tell him often enough that dentists are good, dentists are kind, dentists are fun, you might persuade yourself, too!(I just lurve spiders!)

Yey! :T
A handy one, a randy one, a bandy one (not legs!:rotfl: Music!), and a dandy one ( for those smart times!).
Eek that's four!
Good job nothing else relevant rhymes with handy! :rotfl:

Hello new thread! So nice to hear your holiday has started well WaS
We moved office yesterday at work, which meant lots of lugging computers around as we didn't trust the movers with those, then the most important one broke in transit (so maybe we should have trusted the movers) and wouldn't start when we connected it up at the new place, so I ended up trying to diagnose it using a mobile phone for internet access, dismantling it and then going home to get a spare part, rebuilding it and eventually got it going - what should have been pressing a button to turn it on took three hours! There were other problems and I was very stressed by the end of the day, when I went to my evening class straight from work I seemed to have forgotten all of the language I have been learning for the last four years, I spent most of it sat there like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
Got home, wanted a hot shower, so turned it on and it came out cold. So this morning I had to use the telephone  and call a plumber. Two things that make me want to curl up into a ball and hide under the duvet are making telephone calls and asking people to do things for me. Even if they want people to call them to give them the work to make a living, I still feel like I'm massively imposing on them. It's the same with jobs around the house that need two people, I try to improvise ways to do them myself rather than asking friends for help
.Anyway, phone call made and plumber coming later so I'm leaving work early and I'm way more relaxed about it than I was earlier today. Let's hope it's an easy fix - I have a notion of what the problem is and if I'm right it should be.xXMessedUpXx wrote: »I
I saw Motley Crue supporting Def Leppard a good few years back and they were by far the better band, this is one of their last tours i think before they stop so i couldn't pass up the chance to see them one last time!
And KISS are brilliant, i've seen them twice and can't wait to see them again! It will be a brilliant end to the festival.
Also a rock / metal fan here, although more of an Iron Maiden fan myself, but used to have records (yes, actual vinyl records) by some of those you listed in my teens! Unlikely to catch me at a festival though, as that means sleeping in a tent

I know the feeling. Its really strange as in my old job I use to have ring up and give merry hell to suppliers sometimes.
Now it makes me cringe. I need my gutters cleaned and fixed as in a couple of places they have come apart.
It terrifies me for some reason. I went the whole winter with out central heating as it meant I had to call someone to come in to my house.
its not dirty but unkempt and needs the decorating finishing. And the last time I had someone come in and help he took a shine to meI know I should take it as a compliment. But he was old enough to be my dad LOL!!!!

Nice to see so many rock/metal fans!
Well done on braving the dentist Birdie! Glad you didn't need any work done.
Hugs code x Not long now till home time!
Sounds lovely WaS! Hope you've had another lovely day today!
dragonette, it's not my cup of tea at all, for me personally, I'd hate it and would feel so uncomfortable with it. But, if you are all happy with it and it works for you, then that's great, and who is anyone to judge.
Hope it's an easy mend onomatopoeia99.0 -

They're actually really good singers and musicians! Granted, their song lyrics are very suspect, but you do find yourself singing along, as they are very catchy! :rotfl:0 -
Faith, remember that you are grieving, and the horrid feelings of devastating loss that are part of grieving are not the same as your prior problems.
Some GPs are reluctant to prescribe meds for someone who is grieving, because it is felt that the stages of grief have to be worked through, else they won't resolve.
The feeling of loss is overwhelming, though, and of course, sometimes it can trigger other problems, so if you feel it has, do talk to your GP.
It's nice that Georgie's on this thread, as her situation is so like yours, you'll be good for each other.
And remember, that even if your family are far away, we are here for you, so do post at any time.
We'll have to rebuild the duvet fort, folks! And we've run out of biscuits!
What are your biscuit favourites, Faith?xXMessedUpXx wrote: »It is Download yes!

We are driving up to MIL on the Tues (joys!:() and picking up our motorhome from the hire place. I did camping for the first 10 years now I like my creature comforts far too much plus we have our own entrance right next to the main stage which means we dont have to queue for the arena toilets and if we want a beer we can go back to the camper have it and be back in time for the next band :T
I have had a bloody rotten day today. My nan has got me all stressed out over my mums estate as some money needs to be paid to my brother and me but it's not ours to keep it needs to go back in the pot to pay outstanding debts. My nan is worried that my brother wont give it to her (shes the executor) because my aunt has been filling his head with her opinion on what he should be intitaled to when it's not even anything to do with her
My brother is pretty !!!!less when it comes to money (we are total opposites) and I'm praying he is going to do good on this because if he doesn't my nan is threatening to disown him. I only have a tiny amount of family left now so the thought of this happening has just done me in
I ended having a good cry and now I feel exhausted I am meant to be working at my pub job tonight but I just dont think I have it in me but I don't want to let them down I don't know what to do
I worked there last night ended up in tears twice once because they played a song that links in with a family joke linked to my mum eton rifles by the Jam my mum always use to sing eating trifles as a joke when we were growing up to make us laugh and it just brought back so many memories normally if any of us heard that song we would tell my mum straight away to moan how she had ruined the song.
Then I was writing out my list for bottling up and one of the customers (i didn't know him) saw me and he tried to make a joke about was I writing to tell my mum I had, had a bad night. I burst into tears he told me he was only joking and to chill then one of the other girls pointed out that my mum had recently died he offered to buy me a drink but I said no i can't the tills are closed so maybe next time walked away and went and kicked the s h i t of the empty boxes in the cellar. I know I was probably a bit over sensitive but I was really tired and feeling low and it just all came out feel a bit of a div now tbhFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
