Lovely thing to say Skinny xx
Managed £10 into 2016 Xmas in the sunshine for DS and me ....:D:D
DS has gone for a well deserved day out in Newcastle, some gaming convention or other, but lovely to know he has made a nice friend at university and is starting to venture out in the world once again.
Myself and OH still taking each day as it comes, he is trying hard and every day on the wagon is a bonus, sadly he has no work booked in for next week, always very quiet for the self employed after Xmas but hopefully the phone will start ringing very soon, might look into some extra advertising for a month or two.
Also need to ring company handling our PPI claim on OH business loans, also our mortgage payments over an 8 year-period, seems we are owed quite a bit....dare not get my hopes up, but would make a great start to the year
Going for a cheapy Sunday lunch today only £3.50 each and then off to Farmmyfoods for some frozen bargains. My favorite Xmas gift was a small slow cooker/crock pot and my Gosh I love it, the meals I have cooked in this little pot, or should I say it has cooked are sooo easy and Delicious....just wondering what to fling in it now for tea........

Then off to opticians this afternoon to choose some frames….hoping to find a lovely frame without the massive price tag hmm
My achievements since joining this site below unbelievable amount paid off CC and into mortgage account, not sure how I have managed it but giving me a happy glow this morning

Been a good day today, saved a fortune and shocked myself at the same time, refused to even look at new frames....new glasses Total Cost £38.00 for lens only, took my old reading frames, well I say old really hardly worn them and cost more than £80 only roughly 6 months ago so great result. Now normally things come in threes soooo bingo night tonight and hoping for a nice win to end the day ........:D

Safehouse - you are doing brilliantly
Well done on getting the glasses cheap as well - my eye sight gets worse every time I go (and I'm only mid thirties) and I usually spend about £300 and that is even with BOGOF as I buy 4 pairs at a time all in different colours!!0 -
:j:j:jfantastic news on the PPI, my bouncy men are rather pathetic compared to EEs!

Oh dear, I love the rain, but my roof has massively deteriorated. Woke this morning to my living room bin filled with water, how lucky is that thou! haha really did leak through ceiling and directly above my little bin, I had only lined it with an old carrier bag last night. What are the odds on that happening? Still not very nice yellow patch left on ceiling but altleast my floors were saved and a bit of emulsion when it drys out and good as new...until next rain storm of course " time to call decent roofer for patch up me thinks....
Due wages on Decembers house cleans by Friday...looking forward to throwing straight into Mortgage :j0 -
Wages paid for house cleaning couple of days earlier than expected, think it might be because I have taken on another 4 for February, and they are trying to keep me sweet. Not the nicest of jobs, must admit but rewarding to think how I will get my mortgage paid that much quicker, just hope I don’t kill myself in the process lol. "might have bit off more than I can chew, as DS is now back at Uni so might not be able to give me a hand”.
Anyway no point in worrying and no room for negative thinking, so this added to the total left over from December outgoings leaves a grand total of £320.00. Made a payment of £80 off my CC, I know the new me actually paying off my CC….”soon CC will be under the 5,000 mark “and £220 off my mortgage….£20 left in my purse, see how long I can keep it there.
Received voucher for £10 from boiler reg this morning, nice little perk will go towards my frozen chicken at iceyland tomorrow. Determined to try and do shopping below budget tomorrow.
CC 5,020…. Mortgage £68,390 saved ….£31,610 left 6th January 2016 :T0 -
Doggy groomers day today £30 “budgeted for”....I have been clipping and washing her coat myself for months using Johnson baby shampoo, but with all this bad weather and my not so talented trims, she is desperately in need of a professional cut, besides her nails and bottom need attention and whoo that is out of my jurisdiction.
Need to be out early this morning, lots to do....wish me luck lol
