Weekend...positives are savings tied into 3 year ISA as promised and OH aware of the fact, "keep him on his toes" ;)
Also OH has at least 2 days’ work booked in next week. Dare I say Good start!
Still no frozen foods bought only essentials £20 cash saved:)
Four framed prints bought in charity shop £1.50 each they are absolutely beautiful, trying to do some research online at the moment, have a very good feeling they may be worth something, well not enough to retire on but who knows?, plan to re-frame and sell, if I can bare to let them go, they would look lovely on my living room walls…..
Negatives not much energy….batteries ran out the last few days…..so early night for me and spring in my step for the coming day:D

Rear of main roof has been leaking again and caused quite a bit of damage to dining room ceiling . Have called 2 roofers need quotes, I know I cannot ignore this situation any longer. I did add onto my mortgage at the start of my diary to cover repairs on my lovely old house, looks like it’s time to bite the bullet and get the roof sorted once and for all. 68,000 total saved. Dsis needs 3,000 promised loan by April, so am I being too hopeful to expect total roof work for no more than 5,000 detached bungalow and quite a large roof....praying I can keep mortgage savings above 60,000. I do have quite a good amount to put into my mortgage by Friday :D, have wages with good overtime from house cleans,:D then OH owed for 2 jobs in November "invoiced them again, annoying always late payers", but can go into mortgage money when I eventually get it.:D
Work done and dusted for the day....love the house when the only sound is the odd car passing by outside my window, enjoying the peace.:)
OH is out to work, I have upgraded our advertisement so it will appear in our local rag every evening, but not a ding dong, keep checking the phone is still connected. Can’t remember the business ever being so quiet in January.
Bingo night tonight and it is about time we had a win….even a small one would be nice :)
Have to mention DS received important test results Friday and not only did he receive a pass he came in the top 3 . A much needed confidence boost....so proud :T

Wish I could, but would be really letting her down :(. Strange thing is she is buying her council house and with 30 years discount is getting it for a bargain price of £22,000, she is 3,000 short and having problems getting a loan. Feeling slightly envious and then feeling guilty for feeling envious as she will be mortgage/rent free and I will be further away from my target. Repayments haven't been fully discussed as yet but I am going to insist on it not dragging on for years, after-all she will have no rent to pay from April this year, also insisting on standing order payments going directly into DS account. Want to help her but have been stung in the past by family borrowing money, should have listened to Dmama her views are never loan money to family, so wishing I had kept my big mouth shut lol.
Thanks for the Facebook tip will be looking into it this evening :D
  • Home for 2 hours, then house clean booked for 1.30pm, so short break nice cuppa, then approx 1 hr to make tea.... chicken casserole with my lovely crock pot, make beds, put washing on, start on the mountain of ironing and anything else I can fit in during this time.
Answer machine still not flashing, I keep finding myself looking at and willing the phone to ring....business worse than any year I can remember, trying not to worry.
Have reduced my savings down to the £60,000 mark (63,000 really). Removed 8,000 this morning into separate account to cover 3,000 Dsis loan and roof repair "still hopeful for 5,000 covering new roof, silly me". Ooh really breaks my heart to use my mortgage savings :(
I have however been able to add 600 from unpaid invoices finally paid this morning, and some of my paid overtime, which slightly softens the blow:):)
Right time to get my backside into gear and move............................:D

Ooh tough day, put feet up finally and tucking into a diary milk chocky bar yummy................
Productive day....helped OH sort out the shed earlier, managed to fill 2 big bags full of old copper/brass pipe etc (perk from his plumbing work) the scrap yard gave a good £93 weigh in. Petrol and food shop sorted for the coming week, still not bought any frozen items as freezer still quite full….so determined for a less than £30 food spend on Friday inc doggy food and soap powder, bleach etc....need to write shopping list and stick to it!
Earned a nice little nap, me thinks…

  • Received first roofing quote £7,000 from contractor this morning, this covers full roof but some tiles around the back of property will be the better ones used in again from my old roof, meaning may have to have that part of the roof re-done in around 5-10 years.....Not Keen, Ooh and won’t be able to start work till May.
Other quote not back yet, but feel I should maybe ring another few roofers for quotes can’t hurt.
Nice thought…. don’t have to leave the house for work till 11.30am go slow morning for a nice change. OH had 2 phone-calls for work last night and one this morning "Well,I have been praying alot" lol, so he is off out around 10am.

Horrible nightmare last night, same as always "lost my home and moving into some slum" been ages since last one :(. Have felt stressed with OH lack of work and my mortgage savings having to take massive hit very soon with Dsis loan and roof, so can understand why, but these nightmares really shake me up....Ooh and it is Friday, things have been quiet for a few weeks, so cant help feeling slightly on edge.
Also will have accountant invoice heading our way in the next month or so and that is never cheap. Plus OH has his gas safe to re-do, it is required every 5 years annoying as really just another way to charge £600 ......Sooo loads of cash demanded for the coming months.
No wonder I am having nightmares lol....
Quieter day today, finish work early then food shop "list ready" hopefully home around 1pm, then clean my own house :).
Good news should have some cash to throw at my mortgage today....not sure how much yet, will update later :D

£60 left over and payed into mortgage yesterday, plus £10 paid in today….left over from shopping, better than I expected…..
OH off to the scrap yard again, has old tank and bag of lead must be worth around £50, he is still sort of making the effort after our Xmas nightmare.........................
I feel so angry and hurt this evening, he has returned from visiting his mother today and she had given him a bottle of vodka , thankfully he poured it down the sink. His family seem to have taken a stance against me after involving his sister by ringing her on Xmas day for support. They don’t believe me and keep trying to make a point of this by giving him bottles of alcohol at every opportunity. Strange how his family find it so much easier to dismiss or re-direct the blame ....maybe it’s due to embarrassing the family name or simply so much more convenient for them to stick their heads in the sand, as they do not want any of the responsibility and therefore it is an easy way out. I see it as being cruel!!, what will it take…. for him to fall seriously ill before they suddenly accept the truth. I seem to have only made matters worse, but atleast I now know to never ring them ever again, no matter how bad things may get. Ooh dear sounding off once again diary…………………:(
