I'm jumping back into the flylady thread: used to be quite regular on here when pregnant (over six years ago now).

I try to do 15 minutes in a morning (neaten bedding, open curtains, swish and swipe bathroom and toilet, get dinner things ready - load slow cooker, lift meal out of freezer, clear kitchen sink etc). Sometimes I manage to vacuum a room or mop the kitchen floor.

Husband collects girls from school and serves dinner, then washes dirty crockery. When I get home at night, I try to do commercial break cleaning with the girls: day's clothes in laundry, dust, clean a window etc as well as fit in girls homework, reading, maths etc.

I have some child-free day time on Wednesday that I use to deep clean and I do ironing on Sunday whilst catching up on my sky+ programmes.

Having said that I need the reminders to see keep on track so I don't end up needing to spring/summer/autumn or winter deep clean the house.

tonight's jobs are vacuum the living room

Well, I was planning to strim the back garden today but when I started I realised I needed new cable. Didn't have any. Went online to see where had some in stock. Drove to the store beginning with W, brought it, came home and of course I can't get the thingy off to change it  so I dumped it and the extension cable on the back porch. Now have to wait til DD1 comes home (she clever with things like that) or when the girls dad drops by later.
I'm now going to have a drink and a banana cos I have the hump, then get on with my lists.

Must - do - Monday: kitchen and dining room
    Level 1
    Level 2
    Give your sink a polish
Where is the mop brigade? Clean that floor!
    Level 3
    Wash a window
    Wipe tiles / splashbacks
    Extras:
Do you need to test your smoke alarms?
Does your bin need a wash?
Is your post up to date?
Find 5 things to fling from the kitchen junk drawer

Try - harder - Tuesday: living room
    Level 1
    Dust from top to bottom
    Sweep or vacuum
    Level 2
    [STRIKE]Clear the mantle[/STRIKE]
    Ditto the coffee table
    Any other surfaces to clear?
    Level 3
Wash a window or two, or polish a mirror
Wipe any grotty finger marks away
Give the fireplace a good clean
    Extras:
[STRIKE]Does the fire need servicing? [/STRIKE] It was condemned last gas inspection :o
That box in the corner - what's in it? Have a sort
Rearrange any pictures / photos - it's nice to have a change
Another bank holiday coming up - any plans you need to make?

Afternoon all. Just a quick update as this week isn't going to plan
DS didn't look to bad yesterday morning, hadn't been sick since sat morning, and wanted to go to school. So I took him in. Got a phone call an hour later asking me to fetch him. He slept all afternoon, got up not looking too bad but again this morning he has got up being sick, so off to doctors this afternoon.
He's making the most of his sisters not being here and cuddling up on my knee so haven't managed much at all.

    List so far:
Must - do - Monday: kitchen and dining room

    Level 2
    Clean the microwave!
Where is the mop brigade? Clean that floor!-- Swept it so far
    Level 3
Does your cooker hood need attention?
    Wash a window
    Wipe tiles / splashbacks
    Extras:

    • Is your post up to date?
    • Find 5 things to fling from the kitchen junk drawer :)

Trying to have a sensible grown up conversation with OH is like trying to talk to an iron board you do not possess... I swear he is doing this to deliberately infuriate me.. I'm very very close to tears now.. just ARGH!!!! He just won't participate.. talking surnames again and not just mine and I may be forced to slap him!

not hung out laundry as it keeps raining.. the ground isn't really drying so I doubt the washing will either! I don't want to get my slippers wet hanging it out.. :p

My flying or letting OH do it hasn't gone at all to plan, not sure what he's been doing all day, just been home and the house is a pigsty!!!! Glad it's only my family coming around for dinner!!!

I know it wasn't on the lists yet but I cleaned the bathroom. I had to change the cat litter, DD1 had over filled them when she did it the other day so of course with use it was all over the floor in the bathroom. Plus Dcat3 peed on the floor  keeps doing it and I don't know how to stop him. I regularly change the litter, I scrub the spot where he pees and spray that spray stuff thats meant to stop them but nothings worked
I've done one load of washing, second is on now and decluttered some lunch and a tv programme I recorded. I'm now going to unload and reload the TD and hopefully empty the airers before moving on to other jobs.

Wendywitch is it the type of litter that DCat3 is having trouble with? I've heard that the clay variety can be quite uncomfortable once it's wet if they have sensitive paws, which then makes them reluctant to pee in the litter. Just a thought - I'm not a cat expert, by any stretch of the imagination.

Bossy I see Piggers is going to post the list for you when you're unavailable to do it; I only just saw your post - I'd have offered, but I'm happy to see it's already covered.;)

Washed the bath mats this morning, thinking the sun was out therefore drying outside was possible - huh, the weather thought otherwise.:( So they're over the bath on the A-frame now!:D

Anyways, I'm going to take Pippa for a walk while it's not actually raining, I think.;)

    Hiya everyone :hello:

A warm welcome back to Cat

    Belated anniversary wishes to Jazzee

JTTOU - I always think it's great to have something nice to look forward to, even if it's only something small.

Pigpen - I am sure that men generally only listen/hear when and what they want. I now, after twenty years, sit DH down and say to him 'are you listening' and when he affirms I say what I want in the shortest sentence possible and then get him to check back what I said. I think they're worse than kids IMHO
