dusty, I do hope your mums ring turns up. It must be so upsetting for her to lose it. HUGS.

Just back from paid stuff, I stayed an extra HHC and fixed the leaves I'd knitted to the tree, I'm pleased with how it's turned out.
Boiler fixer rang me miles boiler needs replacing - he could fix it but no guarantee another part won't go as its old, it's about £500 to fix or £1200 for a new one have told Dh to talk to her tonight.
Just catching up with some emails then I need to run the dyson round and make a start on food and flying.

Arghhhh, Arghhhh, Arghhhh and Arghhhh a bit more. Will you slap me if I say the relationship is more important that the name?

    *ducks and hides*

Saying that I was glad to ditch my first married name even though the kids had got 'his' surname.

We want to change the girls surnames to just his.. by deed poll it is £46 for mine and the 2 of them, to get married and change all 3 names is £49 with the legalities sorted too.. I'm sure he thinks I am trying to trick him into some sordid thing.

Why would I slap you? The relationship is the most important and one way or another this is being sorted this week.. it is my mission.

I have managed to do all of my Tuesday jobs - apart from sweeping the floor. I am going out for the night in a few minutes so am just pleased I got the rest done. Will have to catch up with the floor when I've got time to move the furniture and beat the rug and make a proper job of it.

I am actually quite enjoying following these lists!

    hello

I am around but not flying other than doing jobs I like (like ironing and washing, and filling and emptying the DW and filling then emptying the vacuum cleaner - because I get a perverse pleasure from the volume of fluff and dust it picks up from seemingly clear carpets...)

Work is manic, boss driving us to near-hysteria because of them that begin with 'O'; tempers fraying...they're due anytime.

and I'm off next week due to holibobs when I shall clean the house.

Welcom back and congrats Lauradore; welcome newbies. Congrats Dusty on the new job...

hi all, well due to the demise of henry (the hamster) I didn't get much flying done yesterday, although totally off the list I managed to take around 11 bin bags to the tip but then missed the bin men this morning so have a full bin for another 2 weeks grrrrrrrrrr.

Told youngest about his hamster and he took it reasonably well, he feels sad and has tears but that's expected, we had a little funeral yesterday and today he asked if we could get him a headstone (one of the proper ones !!!!), I've suggested we plant a tree where we buried him which he's agreed to.

We've now got a new hamster which apparently is a show hamster (didn't know there were such things) and he's named him ice cream because he's creamy coloured.
Not done much flying today either so I'm going to get kids in bed and get on with it, I always work better on an evening anyway.

    Hi all,

New boiler in YAY!!!!!!!:T:T. I am warm. Kids had a deeeeeep bath. Now I'm going to have one. It is fab. And also was cheaper than we expected. Result!
Flying gone ok today, not much done from today's list but caught up a bit with yesterday's, as well as doing paid stuff, plus dailys, plus cleaning up all the mess from the boiler fitters.

dusty can you borrow a metal detector from anyone to look for your mums ring? We just lent ours to a friend of a friend who'd lost his in a field and he found it quite quickly. You could borrow ours if you were nearby.

Must - do - Monday: kitchen and dining room
Do you need to test your smoke alarms?
Does your bin need a wash?
Is your post up to date

Try - harder - Tuesday: living room
    Dust from top to bottom
    Sweep or vacuum
    Any other surfaces to clear?
Wash a window or two, or polish a mirror
Wipe any grotty finger marks away
Give the fireplace a good clean
That box in the corner - what's in it? Have a sort
Rearrange any pictures / photos - it's nice to have a change

Flying this week - I have achieved - absolutely nothing !!!!

Well I spent 3 hours filling in some forms for DS this afternoon and made a couple of phone calls that were needed so that was more important really. We now have lots of people trying to help him, which is great, but no organisations have any money and he isnt seriously disabled enough to get the little bit of funding that there is. Everyone sighs and says its terrible that he is just left so isolated and unhappy but no-one can actually do anything. Sigh.

Biscuitmonster so glad you have got that boiler fixed. Dont you appreciate heating and hot water when you have done without it!

Right, I will post tomorrow in a better frame of mind and actually get some flying done.

The laptop has come round to my way of thinking :D ive removed some adware that was making it a real pain to use and ie is working much quicker now, hurrah.

I've made a start in my room of doom already while laptop was updating etc, so its all clear for me to work in tomorrow. I've also found some more cardboard boxes for the green bin which is out for tomorrow.

I've dusted and vacced the living room too! get me, lol
