    Wash a window

Two loads of towels washed and dried, oven cleaned  and hob wiped.
Not as much done as I'd hoped but I have spent all afternoon in the girls bedroom. Firstly with DD1 and then DD2 when she got home from school. One black sack of rubbish, one box of paper to be recycled and one box, so far of stuff for charity.
Dinner now eaten, 5 minutes sit down before I load the DW and go and make my bed that I stripped earlier.

  • Welcome Lauradora and Ditz.

Had a quite productive day - the dining room and table are as clear as humanly possible and have been well- hovered ( not the table - just washed the tablecloth!)! I have also started to sort the pile of papers that were originally spread over the table and have cleared about half so far.
More work done upstairs to bring together paperwork for sorting - I have so much - ours and DS's!!!

Load of washing done and DW filed and emptied - usually DH job!

Had two walks - one wet and soggy this morning and another in the sunshine. Have picked up our holiday tickets and left 4 huge bags/boxes at the charity shop. Car booked in to have the air con redone as it is a little pongy to say the least!
Call re pension found out it is a complicated, manual calculation and awaiting checking so it will be posted out to me by 20th at the latest - they called back within 3 hours so I was really impressed.

Early bed calls as I have a good book and didn't sleep well last night.

    Catch up tomorrow. x

Welcome new and returning flyladies - love the idea of the commercial break cleaning :) little and often is the way forward!

Well today I have done little but not often :o I didn't get home till 5 so straight on with dinner and sorting kiddies. I did manage to clear the tops and wipe, plus cleaned the microwave while dinner was cooking. I emptied my bin, which I cleaned last Friday as something spilt. So I've not completely ignored my own list!

    Anyway, list updated for tomorrow.

A shout out for some help in a couple of weeks - on my next "turn" I'm actually working away and will only have my works laptop (which can't get on MSE :() and my phone (which I think would be a nightmare). Any volunteers? I'd be happy to provide the tasks (formatted if needed!) if someone could just post the thread?
If not I may have to post the whole week on the Sunday night

    TIA
    X

Thanks but I'm invigilating until my start date hence why it is a few weeks away ;)

Oops, forgot all about exams  There don't seem to be as many flystudents doing exams this year as there were last year.

We had a good trip to York today. Visited my brother in hospital for 10 minutes before they came to take him back to the rehab centre, so we then went to have a cuppa with my SiL and afterwards I popped round to see him in his new room. He was very cheerful and quite chatty, compared to how he was at my last visit :)

All the trains ran on time and our journey was really quite uneventful. Hope you saw me waving to you Bossy as we passed through your place! Also thought of you again - and Jazee, CY and Froddy - when we popped into the National Railway Museum for lunch. Saw some nice Flying Scotsman T-shirts in the shop.

Did you spot the reference to flying in all of that? :rotfl: I promise I will do something off the list tomorrow ;)

    Welcome to all newbies.
Lots of rain today so no excuse of garden distractions.
*Did assessment this morning and have added up scores.
*Answered a load of emails; a good day today as 1 more definite tuition booked (10x2hrs); this morning's mum said she'd passed my details onto another. And I won £10 in a post office draw!
    *all kitchen surfaces cleaned
    *a few appliances wiped
*started hotspot (pile of post). 1 was the NI bill which was on my list of things to do; done it now.
    *greenhouse watered
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
