Why would I slap you? The relationship is the most important and one way or another this is being sorted this week.. it is my mission.

    Hope you get it sorted.

    Zumba this morning.
Went on to uni, had an hour or so to fill in before student so looked at a bit more of the last video in my course.
    All downstairs vacuumed.
    Lounge/dining room dusted.
Lots of stuff that was lurking in the dining room put back up in office.
    Dishwasher emptied.
E mails caught up with and some old ones decluttered.
Church flower rota written and emailed.
    Church meeting attended.

No uni work tomorrow. Aim to:
    - continue writing up assessment
    - ring a man back following assessment enquiry
    - if weather permits, continue working down huge list of garden tasks
    - go to Body Attack
    - start on whatever room is room of the day
    - probably lots of other stuff but can't remember!

Dusty I hope your mum finds her ring, how upsetting.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Hiya everyone :hello:

I am a bit fed up now with my foot as still can't go walking or do any real exercise. Still I suppose it could be worse - at least it is getting a bit better each week.

I have decided to spend a few pennies on myself and have booked the hairdresser for highlights and a cut -though couldn't fit me in until the 2nd June  and then manicure/shellacs for the 3rd. It'll be the first time in my life that I've had my nails done professionally. So I've something nice on the near horizon.

Work - it - Wednesday: room of doom – your choice
Let some fresh air in, pop the radio on

Spend 20mins clearing, floor, table, bed, your choice, just do it!
Wipe any icky marks – doors, handles, windows?
    Dust and deweb
    Vacuum where you can
Sort and fling anything unwanted from your Level 1 clearance
    Sit and admire your work!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday and hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone needing some

Aha, I did HHI last night, emptying the ironing bowl for the first time in at least 6 weeks, whilst catching up with a programme on iPlayer, so I am ahead of myself today ;) Also spent the afternoon visiting my friend and doing shopping for a meal for 18 that I'm cooking tomorrow.
I was desperately tired last night, so had a lie-in this morning until 7.45.

    Today's plan:
    - take DH to station for 9.20 so that he can go and play trains, and then carry on up to hospital for an ultrasound scan of my shoulder.
    - top-up shop (yogurt and fruit) on my way home
    - put away washing that has been drying/airing in the bathroom
    - clear study-bedroom = RoD, ready for one of our two overnight visitors tomorrow (the spare room is ready for the other)
    - clean upstairs bedrooms and bathroom
    - deal with several emails and phonecalls as a matter of urgency
    - print name labels for tomorrow's Pudding Party
    - U3A Family History group at 2.00 pm: hope to get there but not over-optimistic with the length of my to-do list :eek
    - mow the lawn and trim the edges if the weather stays dry all day as forecast (glorious sunshine and blue sky atm :) )
    - move tomato and aubergine plants outside as they are now blocking the light, not to mention the view, from the kitchen and DR windowsills :rotfl: ...
    - ...then clean kitchen and DR windows
    - collect DH from railway late this afternoon
    - carry on preparations for tomorrow, including writing a feedback questionnaire and sorting out my expenses claim for this week

    That should keep me busy!

Welcome to more newbies / returnees.
Hope your Mum's ring turns up soon, Dusty. It must be very upsetting for her.
Continuing GWS vibes for your foot, lynne.
Glad your new canine visitor is settling in well, LW, and well done on the painting front.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks to all in need. Hope everyone has a good day today x
  • Morning all!

It's sunny, and I don't have to do any paid work until Thursday next week. Hoooooooray. Working a bit off list today, as we are going away for a few days on Friday before OH's stress levels reach the point of no return. So I'm going to gets all the little pre holiday jobs done, then if I finish, will get on to the lists. Only problem is then working out which room is the room of doom.

    So:

    Wash children's coats.
    Mow lawn
    Big dog walk
    Wash dog bed if needed
    Sort dd2's birthday party
    Wm x 100
    HHI
    Cancel milk for hols
    Find cool bag
    Small holidayish food shop.
