Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Natty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Evening folks. We had an hour tidy up so ds1 has helped. Although ds2 kept undoing all his hard work which was annoying him!
House has been hoovered throughout, bathrooms tidied. Bedroom is looking much better after I cleared the floor, dusted and gave it a Hoover. Kiddies rooms have had their bedding changed and hoovered with ds2's being dusted as well and both having their floors cleared.
Ironing mountain has been ignored and bathrooms have not been done. Guess that will be a catch up job later in the week!
Have also decluttered my old bike via gumtree so one less thing for the move!:T and done some washing!
Very late night last night. Out with family and didn't get home until 2 pm so a family film was called for this afternoon and I think both hubby and I had 40 winks!
Off to bed now so I'm ready for the week!
List for tomorrow...
Clear some counter space / table top and wipe down
Sort a hotspot
Level 2
Clean the microwave!
Give your sink a polish
Where is the mop brigade? Clean that floor!

Hello everyone, I'm still here
Thank you to Natty for last week's lists and to Bossy for starting us off again this week. Dusty, I hope you enjoy your well-earned rest before starting your new job.
Narc0, thank you so much for posting the photos of your cute newts. I have newt envy! As a child, I used to play with newts and slow worms (yes, I was a strange child, I know) and kept them in a watering can. They always escaped, though.
I have had a manic week with hardly any flying, though I did get to the airport on Friday to meet all our German visitors. I have however done loads of washing up after mammoth cooking sessions, and there's more to come later in the week. The visitor who has been staying with us flies home tomorrow but the rest stay on until Friday, but I hope to get some time to myself this week. It's all been very interesting and enjoyable, now that the organising bit is over and the rest is just "do what it says on the programme". But I'm absolutely shattered this evening and about to fall into bed.
Tomorrow DH and I are putting our visitor (who speaks excellent English and is old enough to look after herself) on a train from the big city to the airport, then we are catching a train in the opposite direction to go and see my brother - still in hospital in York but waiting to be transferred back to the rehab centre as soon as a bed is available. So it will be another day when our house will have to look after itself - at least it won't get more untidy!
Hope everyone has a good week. Welcome to newbies and hugs, spoons and sticks to all x0 -
thanking you Bossy.

We're in again this week please and pleased to see kitchen for Monday. I like starting with the kitchen as it always seems the hardest room to keep clean and tidy.
Thank you bossy for this week and thank you Natty for last week's thread.
I think I need to make a list for myself as well this week as a few things need doing so I'll add that the morrow.

thanks for the thread, I'm going to start this week.
The house is getting more and more cluttered and it often feels overwhelming but I need to take control back and this is how I'll start.
However today I will have to tackle something I'm not looking forward too, my youngest son (9yr old) well I think his hamster has died, we've only had it 6 months and although I've moved him to a warmer part of the room and warmed him up he's not responding.
He seems quite stiff so I've put him back in his house in the cage and made sure he has plenty of bedding just in case he is hibernating, I'll check him later today to see if there is any signs of life.
I just know my son is going to take it really hard, he's sensitive at the best of times, he doesn't have many friends at school (moved him from his previous one due to bullies) and he's still struggling with me and his dad breaking up after dv.
So not looking forward to this but I can't deceive him over it either as he'd find out then lose trust in me (he has a very big thing about anyone telling him any lie - he only discovered earlier this year that the tooth fairy, santa and the easter bunny aren't real, the lectures I've had about deceiving him have been unreal)
But hopefully I'll be wrong and henry will just be hibernating.Sealed pot challenge - member no:506
