Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Bossymoo last week's thread

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thank you Natty for the new thread and bossy for last week's.

I have done very little flying for the past month and it is beginning to show. We have a German group coming over on Friday for a week-long exchange visit, so I must get the house clean and tidy by then. However I've got so many other things to do, it isn't real  I've already told DH that I shall need him to help by doing the hoovering ;)

So I shall be around but am unlikely to have much time for posting in the next 10 days, if I'm ever going to get any actual flying done, but I somehow doubt that I shall get as far as cleaning the oven shelves :o

Nice to see Old Dog enjoying her walk, Jazee :)

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round as appropriate - hope everyone has a good week x

Can I say thank you to Dusty for her lists, please don't think you are getting stale my dear. I know I feel like that sometimes but I just say "to heck with it...lol" There will always be new people joining the thread and won't know if our lists are stale or not.. :p

I would also like to apologise to everyone for just posting the lists and running the past few weeks.. Unfortunately I have not been in a good place mentally..plus I have had stuff going on too. I've also had to do the school run morning and afternoon, plus after school clubs too for my nieces. I haven't got children but the past few weeks I feel like I have with all the toing and froing..lol Still not for too long I hope as their mum should be able to drive in about 6 weeks time..blooming knee surgery for her.. Thank gods I can help out..what with school runs, clubs and also running her to University to get her paperwork in etc. I've also been cleaning her house too..

Unfortunately I've let my own house flag and it is not looking it's best. I've also been flagging myself mentally etc.. Haven't been in a good place at home..

Plus on top of that I thought I was going to lose my 13 year old dog the latter part of last week..it's still dodgy but he is showing signs of coming out of the infection. He's getting a bit more cheekier as each day goes..Although he is still on tablets and prescription food for a while, but I don't care if it means he is going to be okay. So as you can imagine that took it's toll on me as I am mentally drained with the worry of him.

I got bad news at my physio appt for my arm/wrist last week too..and that didn't help as you can imagine.

My poor Dave has also been having private appointments with a cardiologist for possible heart problems, and had to have a 24 hr heart and blood pressure monitors on over the weekend. Of course I got myself totally worked up over it all when I was reading his letter from the cardiologist so had to google it all. Then scared myself even more..

I think my own BD has a BD of it's own now.. And I am also getting quite despondent at the state of my house.. Don't get me wrong it's not bad, just needs a major decluttering and some surface cleaning done. It's just I haven't even been doing my own lists..lol

Blimey that sounds an awful run of bad luck for someone doesn't it.. Still as the saying goes "What doesn't break you certainly makes you stronger".. I think that can definately be the case here.. :rotfl:

To conclude, and if you have got this far "Congratulations"...:T and I haven't bored you to tears yet.. I wanted to let you all know I am intending to be more prolific in my posting. I promise I won't just post the lists and run..well not intentionally anyway..lol

Hugs and spoons to everyone xxx

thanks for the thread and hugs to Natty and anyone else struggling.

I'm not going to let it become a black dog, but I've just spent almost the entire day grappling with the electronic job application/tender. A combination of hopeless internet with lots of dropped connections, vague instructions as to what documents I had to upload (at least it wasn't clear to me) and general anxiety about what I should put, plus my brother offering to do the financial summary and not sending notes through till 10.30 this eve when I'd just finished - well I'm now totally demoralised and feel very unprofessional. I just hope HR are kind and let me know if I have missed anything and not just write me off as a fool.

On the plus side it made me have a paperwork tidy/filing session as I struggled to find documents to scan and upload.

Apart from that I've been to church.

One good thing is that Mr N finally found the damage in our pond from the flying summerhouse, and has fixed it.

Fingers crossed for a good week everyone.

Thank you very much for the list last week and thank you for the new list this week. Please count me in for this week but I will be working from my own list so that I can get things finished off.

    Monday
Drop the kids at childminders & school
    Attend lectures
    Attend work placement
    Feed animals and collect eggs
Sort through a pile of paperwork
    Do work on PTES surveys
Spend an hour looking for work
    Dust the kids bedrooms
    Hoover upstairs
    Clean the upstairs bathroom
    HHI
Phone and book some horsey time for dd
Look into the price of summer houses, (me and dh have decided that I need to get a work space, as 1. I need to get more organised and 2. I need somewhere that I can escape from the kids and get work completed.)
    Collect the kids from childminders
Remind childminder about paperwork that is required for the tax credits
    Get new shoes for dd
    Catch up with the thread
