Healing vibes for poorly chameleons, Wendy, love the (not sealy) bluebird Mrs MP, and *wow* on the car insurance Mumto5! Ionafan I'm sorry I forgot to wish your brother a set of personal healing vibes, and thank you so much for the good news this morning. Glad to hear the work's going well, too. Thank you also to everyone that wished the dog happy settling in vibes; he's an absolute treasure and every day brings more waggy calmness.

I've spent the morning racing around doing urgent householdy things that needed to be done before Mr Bear goes off on his annual jaunt to the sarf of France for the film festival. He's doing that type of packing that involves flinging things into the suitcase and then back out again because he can never decide what he wants to wear, and muttering about getting a new pair of shoes - again. He's got twice the number of pairs that I have and he's always saying he hasn't got anything that's comfortable. Each new pair dragged back to the Bear Lair is pronounced the most comfortable shoes ever, followed by ' ... muttering about getting a new pair of shoes - again' a few weeks later. His mother was the same; they'd buy a new pair for her on Monday and by Friday she'd be ' ... muttering about getting a new pair of shoes - again.' Worked to my advantage though; when she died I discovered we took the same shoe size and I scored 17 pairs of hardly worn shoes, and I've still got some of them and still wear them! He's a size 8 though, so his are no use to me.

Final stage of passport renewal ticked off the list, new season's strawberries and crab claws bought for supper and I'm just about to strip the bed to do another WM load now that it's sunny. OH is off to the chalet to do the garden there, after much prodding. He wants to keep the wretched hydranga so he can plant it, otherwise it's going in the council compost bin. *fling*
    Better is good enough.

Ionafan good news re your brother; hope he continues to do well.

Mrs mp I love the bluebird - could do with a flock of them here, I reckon!:D

HB "waggy calmness" - fantastic!:D I'm having to get my doggy fix by proxy this week, as I'm dogless til Monday 18th, so I'm pleased to read your updates.:o

Mr LW helped me put the bookshelf back up in the kitchen last night; so today's scheduled tasks include putting the books back in place, putting the meds cupboard back up, and generally getting that side of the kitchen back to rights. I also need to make a cake of some sort for the Hungry Bu88er's lunch box.;) I swear that man has hollow legs!:rotfl: Probably do a lemming cake.:o

    Hi everyone

Completely irrelevant but I have new shoes! Bought them online hugely reduced, they arrived today and are so comfy and lovely and even make my size 6 feet look dainty. I keep looking at my feet and smiling. Doesnt take much to make me happy.

Flying is non-existent here. For some reason every towel in the bathroom was covering in toothpaste. I reckon if I hang them out now they might be dryish before it gets dark.

Both kids been to the dentist without trauma. Off to do an hour in the LR and hall before I lose my motivation completely.

I checked the cake box, and there's enough for his lunch box tomorrow; so the lemming cake is deferred for a day. I defrosted the freezer, instead.:o
