Lets hope you get appointments soon Pigpen and whoever you see is helpful.

Have done most of the jobs on todays list. Have also put away yesterdays dried washing and put another load on the line. Have had a quick tidy around upstairs, cleaned the glass on the woodburner and cleaned the ds loo.

I should really do an hour on job number 2 but dont know if I can be bothered. My back is aching too for some reason.

Good news from my SiL re my brother today - his brain scan has come back clear, with no sign of a bleed or strokes; his other test results were all OK except for a urinary infection which is being treated; and he will stay in hospital only until the next bed becomes vacant in the rehab centre close to their home, where he was previously. SiL says it's the best possible birthday present for her :) I may be able to go and see them next Monday, if things work out.

The work that has been tying my brain in knots for the past few days seems to have been a success, and DH agrees that it is good :) More bits to do tonight and tomorrow, but I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Glad to hear that the HB household is basking in canine happiness :)
Good results from your GP appt, pigpen :)
I envy you your newts, Narc0. We haven't got a proper pond here - no room!
Thank you lynnejk for reminding me that I bought asparagus yesterday and have salmon in the freezer and new pots in the utility fridge, so tomorrow's meal is sorted :D
Welcome to newbies and returnees

DH has gone out to one of his model railway club meetings this evening, so I am on my own again. Will go and WUDUPA, make :coffee: and then plod on. Onwards and upwards!

That is fantastic news about your brother Iona
Sorry I've not been about much, between work mils jobs and a small amount of flying I've been trying to master knitting on DPNs. I have managed to produce a small bird that bears more than a passing resemblance to a seal so need to add feet eyes and beak before I declare it a pass or fail. I need to make a mate for it then make stems and leaves for the blossom I crocheted

Glad it's good news ionafan. And believe me if I attempted to knit a bird Mrs mp it would not resemble any sort of living creature.

Bed time here - been a productive day. Both boys have dentists tomorrow - getting ds1 there could be interesting.
  • Hi folks,

Hope you've all had a good Monday. Good news about your brother Iona. I've done ok for a Monday, as Monday is the day I work until six, so not much time for flying. Have done the dailys, plus a bit from the list.

    Killer Kitchen - Monday

Clean the gacky filters and drawers from DW's, WM's etc
Wipe the cupboard fronts, all the appliances and all those manky corners!!
    Clean oven/hob
Pick a cupboard and empty and clean it out and replace only what you wish to keep!
    Binbag dance!
    Clean windows and sills
Clean the oven shelves.. soak them in wash powder.. that works!

    More tomorrow ! X

    Hello

Mad busy day. Sorry I've only skim read but I know a couple of people asked about the bike charity. I'm afraid it's not national, he's a one man band running it from his garage. They get no funding. Very nice man, had a good chat with him and he was very pleased with the bike, and took DS little balance bike too - he knows of several disadvantaged families with little lads who would love it.

That's all I'm afraid - must sleep. Alarm set for 5.30
