Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Natty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Dusty- thanks for all the lists you have done on the thread. I, for one, have really appreciated the organisation and actually pointing out jobs that I haven't thought about has been a real eye opener.
Bossy- thanks for this weeks list.

I'll be in, well done Bossy! :T It's strange the list sounded different in my head when I read through it, being by a different person, if that makes sense
DD1 is at the boyfriend's tonight but she messaged me to say her and boyfriend will be back in the morning so that boyfriend (his name's James, if anyone's interested) can do drilling in the girls room. Tv on the wall and shelves up, he's so good
I'm going to head off to bed in a bit so I can hopefully get up early and get a few jobs done before they get here. I'll be putting my washing away while I'm up there.0 -
Oh! That didn't take long! Lol!
Today, I have finally done the kitchen floor, done some washing, tidied up the living room, kitchen and hallway. That's about it! Lovely morning at church and then the afternoon with my niece for her birthday. We had dominoes pizza for lunch so I had nothing from breakfast till lunch. Then 3 slices of pizza and a slice of birthday cake. Finishing off with toast for tea. Not the healthiest of days but not over my calories either. I don't feel too bad as hubby and kids were stuffed from lunch and only wanted a sandwich too!
Looking at the list,I can tick a few things off already but I really MUST clean the bathrooms.

I'm in - thanks bossymoo :A The list looks great.
Could I please ask for some flylady prayers / vibes for my great aunt? I only met her for the first time in Feb and I heard this afternoon that she's in hospital following a suspected heart attack. It seems she is improving, but she is 91. Hoping to pop up to see her tomorrow.
Right - list!

Thanks to all list-makers.
I'm back from a terrific 5 days in the tree house - look how uncluttered it was here. We did a lovely range of things from a 22 mile bicycle ride (much to our surprise; hadn't planned that far), a couple of wetlands/RSPB centres, Great Dixter gardens (fab) and some clifftop and seashore walking. Really relaxing and so good to see how well Mr N coped with it. He's still very under-weight (grrr) and feels the cold a great deal, but when I think of how he looked in hospital in Dec....no comparison.
So I'm back with a vengeance - list too long even to be listed. My house looks ridiculously cluttered after the tree house.
I had a quick look through last week's activities; hugs etc to those needing it; lovely new dog; well done to weight-losers and kondo artistes extraordinaire (I did kondo my clothes in my case as the tree house didn't have much storage!). May everyone have a great day off tomorrow and a productive week. Good luck DustyRemember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thanks for this thread! Trying to get motivated so I just joined. My three kiddos are a little overwhelming and I was never a great housekeeper to begin with. I feel like I'm always starting over the baby steps -ugh! My goal is to shine the sink and vacuum today!0
