Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Thank you Dusty for last week's thread
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Evening all
I have pooled this weekend but hope to do more in the week so I guess 'I'm in' as they sayGo hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
Narco- have a wonderful time!
Pigpen- well done on your kitchen mission!
Valli- sounds like you had a productive day. I very rarely get to the stage where the whole hous is tidy!
We watched the whole of the marathon! About 6 hours in total I think, but I did keep nipping off to do some jobs and cleared the pile of ironing (about 2 hours worth) :T although there is more in there now!
I don't know whether I said yesterday but I went for a run with ds1 on his bike and he fell off twice!! First because he couldn't decide if he wanted to go left or right so crashed into the bin and grazed his hand. He was very brave and got back on.... 5 minutes later he took a corner too tight and skidded off. Bloody knee and cut hand and was too upset to ride back. I wouldn't have minded but we were over a mile from home so had to walk back bent over his little bike! Anyway, today, he asked if he could go out again so we did and he didn't fall off:j. Managed 3.3 miles. I thought it would really knock his confidence so pleased he got straight back on. Bless him, he really doesn't find it easy!
Meal plan has been written and shopping done. Bread in the machine for the morning. Had a quick tidy up before going to bed as well.
I have finally decided I am ready to get back onto fitness pal. It works every time for me abut I have to be ready. So started today and it was ok. Although going for a run helps as it gives me more calories to play with!
I am going to scrap tomorrow's plan and do my own basics instead as working all day and coaching in the evening!

Have a great holiday Narco!
Your DS did really well Frizzle!
Thanks to the the partners-in-grime Natty and Dusty.
My fitbit bracelet has broken but I can't find my spares apart from the small band which doesn't fit around my wrist! So that's 2 things that broke on me yesterday what's going to be the third?
Not sure how much I'll get done today but I've got half of the contents of my bedroom floor all over my bed so I may spend some time tackling that.
Have a good day all

Morning everyone
Frizzle many moons ago I took my DS for a bike ride and we had to go across a ford to cross a river. No water on the road over the ford, nice and dry and flat. For reasons I will never know DS careered off the ford and fell into the river, only a few inches of water but he was soaked and came home wearing my sweatshirt. Luckily it didnt stop him and he still loves his bike!
Feeling quite chirpy this morning. Have had a nice weekend, the house looks OK - apart from the office which always looks like a disaster zone - and the sun is shining.
Will be late home from work today so not much time for flying. May have to catch up tomorrow but I will do what I can.
Have a good Monday everyone x0 -
