Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Thank you Natty for last week's thread

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks dusty! We are in! I've been really busy in the house but still feel like I have so much to do!
Went to the country park with the boys today and saw family which was lovely. Also did some washing, cleaned the toilets, did an hour in the garage, went shopping (£16 for the week!:T) wrote a meal plan! (Hence the low cost shop!), did ds1s hw with him and then did my planning for school! Phew! Only things I didn't do were tidy the study and get lego boxes out of the oft but that's fine.

Here is my short list for tomorrow.

    Monday - Kitchen
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
    Shine your sink
Wipe the hob and front of the oven
    15 minutes flinging
    Hoover and mop the floor

Very short list for me but I know Monday's are manic so never have much time!

Well I have a pretty tidy house to start the week with, having blitzed for the family gathering. Had a nice lunch today though I say it myself, everyone seemed to enjoy it. Lots of hands to clear up afterwards, and enough leftovers for tomorrow's meal too.

    Week's plan:
Mon - Mum and I visiting friend who's just had an op. Probably doing a couple of things in town while we're there. Hoping for nice weather at least in the afternoon. May go to the memorial to one of the church member's wife; need to check the flowers in the morning. My new online course starts, will have to take a look at it even if I don't start till Tues.
Tues - Mum gets her bus home. The tender for the work I'm interested in goes out on Mon, so must have a good look and see if I can understand what's offered and required for the online submission. No students booked for Tues as yet :(
    Wed/Thurs have a few students.
Looks like being a suitable week for gardening and study-tidying.
We go away next week to stay here so need to start planning what to take as it is self catering.
I'm sure I will think of lots of other things to do as the week goes on .

Thank you Natty for last week's lists. Thank you Dusty for the new flying orders. I will do what I can, with a very busy week ahead of me. It looks like I shall have to move the bookshelves in the ktchen to clean under them - I probably haven't done that for over a year :o Wonder if I'll find some Christmas wrapping paper underneath???
