Need to start the paid stuff now, so will take a break later to walk them.
See you all later.

jttou - willow warblers sound possible if you've got patches of woodland anywhere near you. Or they could be chiffchaffs, which are quite similar to look at: if you listen and can hear something singing "chiffchaff chiffchaff chiff chiff chaff" etc etc, you know that's what they are! (I love the noise chiffchaffs make - so kind of them to tell you their name! :rotfl:)
Today's plan:
15 minutes...
Clear the floor and hoover through [as an 'orrible slug made its way in over night and left silver trails all over the carpet ]
Collect up any leaflets, newspapers, school letters which can be recycled
30 minutes...
Dust the tv and other electricals
Empty the binsBack after a very long break!0 -

They are not long tailed tits either - the nearest I can see from my books is a Willow Warbler but not sure if they come into town gardens though it does say that the males nest in birch woods when they come here in about March, and it is a birch in our back garden. I'll try and get a picture.
Bossy are you exaggerating about the 3 st gain? Try SP for a few days if so.
How about a chiff-chaff? I went for a walk with mum yesterday, lovely protected meadow near us smothered in cowslips and separated from the canal by lots of hawthorn hedge etc covered in blossom and..........saw 2 tiny, pointed birds with yellow and a bit of greyish white. Squeaky. We thought some type of warbler, but when I got home there was a bit in the paper about chiff-chaffs and I think that's what they are. I didn't know what c-c looked like.
We've got loads of blue tits, great tits, goldfinches and greenfinches visiting the feeder constantly, also a robin, starlings and yesterday briefly a woodpecker. No fairies though.
Took mum to get her bus home earlier, came home via garden centre to spend my birthday vouchers and get the free coffee. I could have come home to lots of flying but honesty compels me to have been lying on a yoga mat in the garden with kindle....... However I did get 1 load of washing done and on line, made us a cooked breakfast and checked the greenhouse.
Bossy yes I hope you meant 3lb not st..........I'm away next week and doubtless the weight will rocket.
Have received documents on the tender for this job I'm after; lots to read through but it really is a proper tender; I have 4 'tasks' to quote how much I would charge, and I'm really stumped. I don't want to lose work by over-quoting, nor sell myself short. I'd only assumed the quote would be a single one for an assessment, but I have to quote for what I'd charge if the client didn't turn up, and a couple of other things. Something to think about this eve as now I'm really going out to put supports round the peony, canes up for runner beans and sow a few more seeds.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Hi - sorry to have taken us so totally off thread. No, sorry Dusty but thanks for the suggestion - not a yellow wagtail - have seen those - they are beautiful birds. I looked in my book again and it could perhaps be a garden warbler - or yes the chiffchaff that a few of you suggested. Haven't been in today to watch out for it!! - but I have my camera ready!
Lost 1.5 lb today so the long walks and two days strict SP have worked. Did gardening, got Mr T order put away and went to catch the wine offer before it ends today. Then went for fish and peas for our evening meal - DH had chips. Now off for a glass or two of the vino with ndn!
Did you see flying in all that - oops - must try harder tomorrow!!July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200
