Bossy they have the same rule at my nephews school. Bonkers. At DSs school they are allowed to go without ties after May half term and he only wears his sweater in the depths of winter.
Laundry sorted, clean sheets on our bed, everyone fed and kitchen cleaned, few buns made for pack ups, bit of ironing done. Need to remind DS about homework but otherwise its feet up now.
I agree DR weekends are too short. And knitting a floor cloth? Well I am hopeless at knitting so what do I know!0 -
Evening Folks
DH did a large tip run this morning
We have been in to the city centre to collect my laptop. Ds1 somehow caused it to need a new hard drive. I treated myself to a lush bubble bar. I had a quick look for a small suitcase for my reunion trip in mid May. I saw a nice cheap pink one but I need it to be suitable for the boys here too. Ds2 spent some of his spending money.
Laundry dried outside again and ironing done
Ds2's bed changed
Work tops wiped
Fajitas made
Ds2's therapy done0 -

Everyone seems to have done a lot today - except me! I was out all morning at church and then the AGM, was going to have an afternoon in the garden but DS1 rang me yesterday and asked if we could have DGD1+2 for a while so that he and DDiL1 could get on with a load of exam marking, so we ended up with one girl having an afternoon nap in our bed (so I couldn't dig out the fountain hole in the front garden) and the other in the spare bedroom downstairs (so I couldn't mow the lawn at the back). If you can't beat them, join them - so I had a very nice 40 (ahem!) winks on the sofa while DH snoozed in his chair. We took the girls for a little walk to see the horses in the fields along the lane, and a freshening wind blew away any remaining cobwebs in our brains (but it was lovely and sunny too), then DS1 and DDiL1 joined us for an enormous roast dinner. All good! and the garden will keep for another day
I have done very little flying in the house for the past fortnight, but I have three lighter weeks ahead of me work-wise, so I aim to get each room tidy and clean and the garden in order before our German visitors arrive on 15th May. Not all in one go, though0 -
I've eaten a frog, is has not given me any appetite to eat another one, maybe tomorrow.
Another few bits on here then I must iron a few shirts for tomorrow and Tuesday before bed.
Paid stuff all day for me tomorrow and cricket miles away in the evening so I won't be around much but I will be thinking of you all.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
f-- lipping neighbours.. all my laundry out and they are burning half an effing tree!!! FURIOUS!!!! They could at least have given us a knock and told us, it isn't like they think we are ogres, Tiddles was round there playing yesterday!!
My kitchen looks almost habitable, I almost wouldn't be ashamed to let someone see it, they would have to use the tradesmans entrance though, I don't want them seeing the state of the rest of the place lol
Bath unblocked.. I now have a hairball the size of a small dog in my drain which needs putting to rest.. I found a tool to poke down there and cleared it all out.. it was disgustavolting!!! it is one of the few things which makes me heave!
OH needs a strategically placed rocket to get him to help and he is so incredibly slow at everything.. I loves him to bits but sometimes I get sick of asking.. that's normal right?? Coming from an emotionally abusive relationship I am never sure what is normal and what is not!
I have a lump of pig to hoik in the SC tomorrow, it was meant to go in today but it was too late by the time I remembered so we had freezer crap. I have discovered a love of frosties.. better than toast maybe?
