Evening all
Started day by rading some of the konmari book from the library, now sorted nearly all my cloths, socks, tights and swimwear still to do.
Went to town with DH and used the JL cake vouchers (never do this together) and got some jeans for DH
Up and down to cricket all day as DS and DS3 playing in the same team, didn't do the teas but did do all the washing up for them.
YL - DS3 doesn't do football which is good because that was not great for DS1's knees, kicking and jumping at the worst activities. I got some really good strapping from JL for DS3, his GP said keep doing sport but you must stop when it starts hurting. All 3 of mine have had it and DH did too so it is just life here but really annoying. DS3 still does cricket (he played for 5 teams last year and will do 5 or 6 this year too) but no high jumping or long jumping . I hope it eases for him soon.
Flying has only been laundry today but hope to get more done tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Not a lot done today apart from the dailies.
Another meeting at the bank about life insurance, critical illness and buildings and contents.
The guy we were supposed to be seeing was poorly so we had a Skype meeting with someone in another branch! Very strange but it was fine.
Won't get a lot done tomorrow as we will spend the majority of the day watching the marathon and doing the weekly shopping.Grocery challenge-

1 load washing done and dried.
Tried out bicycle to see what I'm taking away; we seem to have a motley collection (4) consisting of my 'ladies shopper' that is about 20 yrs old; a small mountain bike MIL got off the tip; Mr N's 'old' mountain bike and his 'new' mountain bike which was recently donated by SIL as she no longer uses it. After a lot of adjustment, changing saddles and cycling up and down the village, we are set to go (me with Mr N's old one, and him with his 'new' one). So he washed them.
Did lots in garden; frantically trying to plant out as much as possible to give neighbour less to water in greenhouse. Bit worried by the predicted bad weather for next week, talk of 'rural frosts' which won't be good for my plants when I'm not at home to bring them in, and 'weather from Iceland'. Oh well. To be on the safe side, we're taking lots of books and Scrabble as well as music and lots of fleeces.............
Have started piling up food and clothes.
I did a bit more of my online course. It's pretty basic so far, so I can whizz through it.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

morning all
Today looks much better, weather wise, so I can get back to the laundry - third load has gone in the em. I have also opened up the DW door. Grilled burgers yesterday so have put the grill pan through, along with the racking from the little oven/grill.
Yesterday did the kitchen hallway and bathroom, including thePC tower innards, all the desk and under it, vacuumed the wall near the tower which is textured and presumably gets dusty due to the PC fan. So a full level 3 in all those rooms -and I almost forgot -stripped my bed, cleaned my bedroom and tickled DS's bedroom floor too!

Valli - how did DS's BR floor respond to being tickled?
LR decorating is now finished apart from me painting the radiator which I will do one night so it can dry overnight so at least 1 room is tidy. St George's Day parade this afternoon so that will be my afternoon gone. I could do with doing some paperwork so I'll see how the morning pans out.
Have a good day all

It's a phrase my mum uses -a tickle round is a quick clean! I think it originally referred to a very light dusting originally!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning everyone
Thanks dusty.
First job this morning is to munch a huge frog in the shape of some accounts that I (stupidly) agreed to audit. Have done most of it, just need to finish off. Its not something I enjoy doing though and although I will get paid for it I really wish that I had said no.
Sun is shining, dogs blankets are in the washer. Going to go to the tip later, have quite a few things to get rid of including our old and very battered garden table and chairs. Cant decide whether to keep 2 of the best chairs or just get rid of the lot.
Right, best get that paperwork out.0
