    Morning all

Beautiful day here too, YL - a bit of rain due this evening, so my garden might perk up after that. I still need to get those plants in...

I had a very long day yesterday: left the house just before 06:30 and didn't get home until 21.40, worn out by miles and miles of mostly motorway driving, lots of flying for DDiL2 while she caught up with some much-needed sleep (WMx2, kitchen, bathroom, downstairs loo, cloakroom, quick tidy of LR and DR, and cooked lunch), and to top off the day a full-on 2-hour choir practice which was mostly sightreading! But I also got to fetch DGS3 from nursery and take him to the park, and had lots of cuddles throughout the day with DGS4, now 6 weeks old and already in 3 - 6 month clothes, the little porker! He is still slow to settle after a feed but improving; he doesn't always latch on properly so gulps in a lot of air. DDiL2 is much less concerned about him now, but I'm more worried about my DS2 who has lost weight and is looking very tired and stressed. He is in the final term of his college course now, and yesterday he had to give a presentation which formed part of his final assessment - fortunately he thinks he has done OK.

Today I have to concentrate on paperwork again:
    - send 2 "business" emails before breakfast
    - finish off cakes for the model railway club exhibition
    - cancel free trial of @mzn Prime membership (we don't buy enough to warrant paying for it :money:)
    - phone my friend to see how she is (hopefully she will be discharged from hospital back to the nursing home today)
    - prepare for a talk I'm giving tomorrow, with handouts
    - another "business" email with a menu attachment
    - visit my friend this afternoon
    - pack my bag for tomorrow - if I can get all the bits that I need finished today, I will be able to go on a shopping spree tomorrow morning ;)
    - garden as above this evening, even if we get the predicted shower (it will settle the dust)

So another busy day ahead. Catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day x

Would be nice if she got the message and left you and your children well alone pigpen. I feel your rage from here.

Just had a lovely phone all from DD3, she honestly is a ray of sunshine.

Had a shower washed my hair so it should be dry by tonight, I usually do it in the evening to dry overnight but it was irritating me so it's towel dried and scrunched back in a band, bet the ki ask if I've been swimming LOL.

Washing out just time to grab a cuppa then head off.

    Have a good afternoon all.

Been a busy morning. As always! Swimming and a coffee after!;)
Then came home and put a load of washing on the line. Then have been busy sorting. Got lots of boxes out of the loft. I have had a time consuming job of putting all christmas decs into massive lidded plastic boxes that we bought. It wasn't urgent. But now I have three large boxes instead of about 6 cardboard boxes of very informative sizes and I can use the cardboard ones for packing and then got rid. I think there is some logic in there somewhere! Probably about 2/5 of the way through the loft! Still a lot to do. Probably got five weeks yet and hubby thinks we could pack it all up in a couple of nights but I know different. Even if the loft and garage are done in the ne t few weeks I will be much happier!

As for my house... It's a tip! Every single room! how does it set so messy so quickly!

Right no more packing and on with the list!

    Hoover bathroom floors
File something, paperwork, nails, tax returns
HHPaperwork i did do shredding today but still have lots more to do!!

    Thursday - Master Bedroom
Put away as much as you can that is out of place
wipe the window ledge and the dressing table/chest of drawers
    Wash any really dusty ornaments
    Hoove floors
30 minutes me time you deserve it

Friday – Rooms of Doom, you know you want to
HH putting all the stuff away and rehoming items to other rooms the whole house!!
    Hoover or mop the floor

    Clean garage shelving
    Hhi x 6!!
    Advertise some stuff for selling!
Right. Going to tidy kitchen first as I can't put up with that mess anymore. Will wash up and clear sides and then head to the bedroom! For a tidy not a sleep!

    Hi all,

Well done jttou poems sound great!

Not a lot achieved here as we've been out for a while. But I did get the wash hung up to dry. Took DD to ballet, picked up some extra coloured paper for the dragon tail then took her to Sainsbobs cafe. I was good and had a pot of tea, so only just having lunch now.

Picked up a few groceries for the weekend, plus a new school dress for DD - she's decided to wear it now and play schools ;)

I've also gone crazy and booked us another holiday! Yikes. Kiddies not back to school until 7th sept here so we are having that last week of summer hols. Feels very indulgent but I've saved up just for this purpose so away we shall go. Hurrah!

After my soup I'm going to start on the dining room...

  • Hi -quick update. Managed to do
    shopping
tidying (only took 20 mins for whole house as using my timer again!) HHI and then put all away.
    Changed towels and washed/dried.
    WUDUPA
    Hoovered through
then DH called to say leaving work early so he could mow the lawns before the expected rain! So that stopped me 'cos we then went to buy weed killer for next door's garden and moss killer for our driveway.
Have just decluttered a few programmes and will have the evening off after our meal. Plenty of time this weekend as forecast rain again - but the garden does need it badly.

Have a good weekend everyone - may catch up but not post so see you on the new thread.
