Aww DS loved the parade, it was very moving, we make a big thing of all things British in our town :)
Was a slightly anxious moment when I swapped with FIL and we lost sight of him, but FIL caught up and kept an eye on him :A
I forgot my phone -doh- but took some pics on my mums and there were some taken by the scout leader too.
Dd has also been to her party, and we are all back home
Glad I set the pork going, just had a lovely pulled pork buttie mmm.

Plan this afternoon is to sort the kitchen, put the garage back to rights and clean the fridge before the shopping arrives. Cuppa first though.

Bossy glad you had a great time, hopefully the weather was as nice for you as it is here today. We need to see the pics!

Audit done, just the report to write which I will do later. 2 car loads of stuff taken to the tip, including our old garden table and chairs.

We have a huge garden which we struggle to keep on top of, we just dont have the time. Just spent an hour on my knees pulling weeds and it doesn't really look much better. Keep saying to OH that we need to keep trying to do a little at a time but I cant get him on board with this and I cant do it on my own. Very frustrating.

Anyhow, some of the washing will be dry so I will get that in. Will sort out anything that needs ironing and get it put away.

Havent a clue what we are having for tea!

kitchen decluttering still ongoing.. it isn't going to be a 5 minute task this decorating lark is it?

    Kitchen swept
clean laundry folded and all away
3 loads washed and on the line another load in the basket
    WM's filled with leftovers
    laundry baskets distributed about upstairs.
    Table wiped
    recycling, composting and rubbish out

Nothing done in the rest of the house!

Moomin arrived home from her friends house yesterday with 4 bags of clothes her friend had outgrown.. stuff sorted straight away and highlighted for binning/recycling/rehoming/suitable. .. there is a stack of boys grey school trousers 11-13 if anyone wants them.. at least 1 pair is new with tags!

Stuff for sis is going straight in the car when OH gets back from playing in the park with plastic swords.. and I am absolutely not joking! I'll be glad when he goes to college and is doing something useful for once! lol

    ooh speak of the devil..

Best go get dinner on for the troops.. I'm having toast.. I have decided I am not having a night out until I weigh less than 12 stone.. I am a big fat moo and I shall not inflict my blubber on the world.. yes I am aware 11 stone whatever is not slinky unless you are 7ft tall.. but its a start.. until then ea and toast for me with rice krispies as a treat!

Evening all. I didn't get everything done that I intended. Only hoovered downstairs so upstairs is a pit and every hard floor needs cleaning. Also didn't plant any more seeds.

I'll try to follow the thread next week but all my paid stuff days are early starts or working in London so I don't hold out much hope.

    See you all tomorrow.

I'm just happy I can see them! They were buried behind a coffee machine and other assorted gubbins!

Feel totally shattered after all that homework, everyone now fed and bathed and chilling before bedtime. The weekends gone so quick. Tonight I'm knitting a floor cloth and watching Vera with a brew at my side x

Kids are in bed and my kitchen is a pit. Shopping everywhere. I really should have wiped the fridge out yesterday but I guess I'll have to do it now. I will empty it completely I think, have a good wipe round and squeeze it all back in. Except the maky strawberries. I know they're in there somewhere lol.

Also need to sort lunch, laptop bag and work clothes for morning, and check weather.

Does anyone else have this in school? We've been sent a note about being strict on uniform, and that children need to ask permission to take their sweaters off! I'm not sure how to take it really. DS is the hottest boy in yorkshire so I haven't sent him with a sweater all last week. In the height of summer how on earth will they cope with 400+ kids fainting in the heat because some berk wants them all to look identical? Not sure how I feel about it. DS has those sleeveless tank tops and I don't know if he'll get in bother wearing it. Which would be an absolute shame as it looks far smarter than the school sweater IMO...

Anyhow. Maybe I'll put his proper one on tomorrow and ask what the crack is...
