Hiya everyone and a warm welcome Msmoz :hello:

Dusty, thank you for all the hard work you've put into the lists, Natty, thank you for last week's lists and thank you Bossy for stepping into the gap.

Froddington - sending gw vibes for your great-aunt

Narco - glad you had such a fab holiday. Love the look of the houses !

I'm in for the week again please. The weather has been absolutely foul all weekend so hoping it's better the morrow and we see a bit of sunshine.

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one :D

Bank Holiday Bonanza! - a bit of everything, or a bit of a rest!
    Level 1

Back to basics and shine your sink!
Sweep or vac through your entrance hall, and as far through to the back door (if you have one!) as you have the energy for.
    Wipe your table
Make a brew and enjoy the sunshine (fingers crossed you all have some!)
Get the de-webbers out and follow where you've swept or vacced. Better still, do this first and vac up the remnants!
Wipe down your front door, inside and out.
S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.

HH in the garden, any mossy or weedy bits you can grab as you wander round?
Wipe all the downstairs door handles - help stop any germies spreading...
    Ditto all the upstairs ones.
Make another brew. That's an order!

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday and (hugs), sticks and spoons if you need some

    Morning All

Thanks for taking over Bossy. Dusty - you started doing it with me and Kazw and it's a long time since I finished doing it due to time commitments!

Not sure what the plan is for today - DD had a meltdown last night because we wouldn't let her have a sleepover at her mate's house so she'll probably be in a foul mood today. Burslem festival is on so we might go for a wander down there but we'll see how the day pans out.

WM is on and I'm going to have a bath in a min then see what happens.

    Have a good day all

Hi can I join please? I've dipped in and out over the years, but everything had fallen by the wayside and I really need to sort my pit of a house. I've started a thread and joined lots of other challengers in the hope I can make a difference this month.

Thanks for the list Bossy, I'm going to see how much I can do off the list and how much Decluttering I can do, have been reading the Konmarie thread and have started just need to continue!

Awake bright and early so have pegged out waking (while still in night attire:eek:) because some is DS's and I am taking him to Manchester later. I have just put a quick wash on as we're still on cheap rate.
DW also ran overnight so opened door.
Thought of place to storeDD's iron so put that there:cool:
It looks like it's going to be a lovely day! hope you all have blue skies and sunshine.
ETA welcome newbies. Don't expect to get straight in a week -do the list each day and you will see a lasting difference before too long!

    Morning all

Lovely and sunny here this morning so WM1 going on in 5 minutes. Funday at the cricket club which I will pop down to later.

    From yesterday still to do:
    Pot on seedlings
    Iron shirts
    Mending

I shall do these between kondoing - I think doing this subconsciously made me want to pass the thread on - it really makes you evaluate what brings you joy and what you can remove from your life. So thank you so much Bossy for helping me.

Morning everyone. Not feeling too good, bit achy, shivery and headachy but nothing more specific than that.

OH and DS are fishing all day so that leaves me and DS. I wanted to get all sorts done but haven't actually got out of bed yet.

Thanks for the list bossy. This week should be a good week for catching up a bit - just hope I am not getting flu or something!
  • Morning everyone - thanks to all for the threads and welcome to our newbies.

Just had breakfast and need to go to ch shop to collect donation bags for SW tonight and tomorrow - so may just do an extra shift as B Hols they are always short staffed. Should help me to lose the excess weight I have no doubt put on whilst away - I don't diet in Dustyland!

Lovely day here so need to get in the garden later.

Thinking of your Great Aunt, Frodders.x

Need some flylady posi vibes too, please, for a family member this week - it seems to have been going on forever but should reach a conclusion very soon.

Hope LW and Lynnejk are improving.

In case I forget - good interview vibes for you Dusty.

Have a good day everyone. x

    Morning all

Thank you Bossy for the shiny new list (love the compulsory cuppas :D ) and Dusty for all you've done over the years, also to Natty for last week's list - though I admit to having looked at it very little and actually done even less! Dusty, I agree with you about the spin-off from kondoing and decluttering activities as well as possessions. I used to enjoy reading the thread but was wasting so much of my time that I deliberately kondoed it :rotfl:

Welcome to Msmoz and missymoo81. Babysteps, please. It took more than a week for your house to get to the point where it needs a spot of Flylady magic.

Froddy, sending prayers for your great-aunt's recovery and more time for you to get to know her.
Did you copy the list very small so that your three lovely furbabies wouldn't panic if they read the last line?

I have been up for an hour and a half without looking at the thread until now - it took some effort, as my normal pattern of behaviour is to switch on, look at emails, look at Flylady and only then think about work. I had a "bit" of paperwork to finish off, but of course it turned out to be more than a bit - I have re-written 4 pages! Progress at last :)

This week is looking more manageable, with mostly "free time" in the daytime and concert rehearsals each evening from Wednesday onwards, so I hope to speed on with work in the study and clean thoroughly through the house by next Monday evening. I will make a start today, as the Old Wives are coming here this evening for a film night with popcorn and ices :)

    - WMx1 of 3 is already spinning and ready to hang out
    - Back to basics and shine your sink!
    - Put out a fresh tea towel.
    - Wipe down your front door, inside and out - and the outside window sills
    - S&S the downstairs loo / cloak.
    - Dust and hoover/steamclean hall, kitchen, DR, LR
    - take DH to station
    - buy fabric
    - go to vol job
    - small food shop on my way to collect DH
    - mow lawn after tea, if time

Hope everyone has a good day x

Welcome missymoo and msmozand any lurkers out there - lots of thread views :)

    Posivibes JTTOU x

So I got up early as my shopping was due, put the WM on and laundry is now out in the sunshine. I've also put away the winter boots and tidied the shoe rack in the garage room - few more pairs for the CS bag.

Ive also swept the hallway and dining room, as per my own list - which I may or may not complete!!!

Still a tad chilly and the grass is wet so we won't head outside just yet - I'll continue shifting some stuff off the garage room floor. Shouldn't take long.

    Kiddies need more brekkie too...

Morning flyladies, may the fourth be with you indeed.

Thanks for the list Bossy. I can guarantee to drink the compulsory cuppas and I do need to properly hoover and mop through today as I only got as far as the sofas yesterday.

Right, having skim read, what can I remember - welcome newbies and posivibes for Frodders great aunt, and that's it so hugs where ever they are needed and spoons and everything else too.

So I am already dressed, dogs and me are fed, plan is to walk the dogs, do that hoovering and mopping then get back out in the garden.

This week will be a mixture of paid stuff, hospital appointments, errands, nights out and possibly vets, but I will try my hardest with the lists.

Right, must finish second cuppa of the day.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
