So my update for today
Got the dishes done last night
didn't vacuum so that's next...
And, today I'm doing it "all wrong" because I cant do the baby steps today, I have to nix the list and hit the whole house because my mother in law is coming from out of town tomorrow -but I'm not too overwhelmed because the laundry is much better from doing a load a day (mostly), hoping to get back to list tomorrow and focus better while she's here -I get really distracted when company is in the house!
But at least having company over forces me to get the house in shape. Just need to learn to keep it that way!0 -
Aww DD is delighted the new princess is also called Charlotte
Very sweet! OH's mums name is Diana so she is pleased too
Personally I find the whole palaver abhorrent and utterly vulgar
*removes rant before being hanged for treason*
Just .. ggrrrrr ... *places soapbox back under the table*
I've done nothing today.. but fed everyone and am herding them to the bathroom shortly.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pleased to hear that royalty has followed the fashion of calling their daughter Charlotte, set by The Moo Family not long ago. Hearty congratulations to both princesses on their lovely name.
The carpet washer has been pressed into service in a lodger's bedroom, not the same lodger as the other day which is par for the course I suppose. Both lodgers were charming about it. Dog not suitably chastened, in fact he's grinding his way through a tripe stick.Better is good enough.0 -

Thanks for the list bossy, it s a good one:)
I have spent the day sorting out my craft stuff and have a pile to send to the charity shop. I spent yesterday sorting out the spare room aka the dumping ground. More stuff for the charity shop.
Tomorrow I will be following the lists though as the house is more of a mess than when I started clearing:(
I have sorted out the month's finances
Ds 1 has made a chocolate cake for his last music lesson tomorrow before the GCSEs start. He is decorating it now.
I have an extra 1/2 teaching tomorrow for a colleague who has a bad back. It is nursery children and 1/2 will be over almost as soon as it is started but my stomach is in knots...silly really
Aww bossy that is so cute of your dd, it is a lovely name

Thanks for the welcome, between toddlers running around, I managed a couple of things off of the list, but managed quite a bit of my own. even managed to make bread and plant some seeds and change all the beds! Which is really good for me. Littlest Moo had a huge melt down at bath time and ended up throwing water everywhere and screaming her head off! Was a rather stressful hour actually as she was a pain all through dinner too. and breath. Looking forward to doing more tomorrow. It's so nice to be in a nice tidy bedroom with a nice clean bed and be fresh out the bath, Lovely.0
