How did you fail your pip assessment then Billy ??

Because I didn't put much effort into claiming it and no effort into appealing the decision. The financial loss in the grand scheme of things didn't really affect us. The loss of the DLA award and ESA was more than compensated by the starting of State Pensions. Financially we are quite happy.
As an aside, it has been suggested that we could claim Attendance Allowance, but considering that we don't need the extra money we haven't bothered. One less hassle where the DWP are involved.

trust me ... It also angers people that claim benefit because they have nop other option!

Of course everyone has options. They could have saved to provide for themselves?
No one is forced to claim benefits - if they are that angry, then they should find alternative sources of income.

Clearly you see people's behaviour as a result of informed individual choice rather than looking at the bigger picture and questioning why, as a society, we have people who think that having children is the only useful contribution they can make. I know for a fact that attitudes like yours, perpetuated by the Thatcherite neo-liberalism we have been subjected to for over 30 years, do not help the matter.

On a personal level, I fail to comprehend why somebody would choose to perpetually stay at home raising children when they have the option of going to work outside the home.
