My reading it suggests that he had been assessed and had failed ESA .
The story just doesn't sound right.

I keep on repeating this, NO ONE has actually died as a result of problems with the benefit system. I would be very surprised if a doctor wrote on the death certificate - cause of death - lack of benefits.
It can be a contributory factor

The only case of I have heard that could be down to sanctions/benefit cuts is the diabetic who was sanctioned and had no money for electric so his insulin in his fridge went off. This was very sad, however it has been widely accepted that he never explained his situation to anybody other wise the sanction would have been lifted.

I also seems he did not know how to play the system like most.

For a start that is rubbish. Insulin can be kept out of a fridge for at least a month with no problems.

As I have said before, for people to get into that state must mean that they have failed themselves by not talking to the DWP/JC+

    Are you so seriously naive?

Its like taking exams, what is the point in spending endless hours learning the subject when all you have to do is learn how to pass the exam!

Tell me how you pass then, as so many fail it.

That would take too long on here.
But your first thought should be - what do I need to do or say that will convince the Decision Maker that I qualify?

    A lot pass!

    youre missing the point.
She doesnt want to go to work.... Thats why she needs to be on income support and not jsa.
The generosity of the child related benefits more than make up for her income support only being £74.
Plus all her rent paid and the majority of her council tax.
If she worked, she'd get the child related benefits, but would have to contribute towards her rent

we all know so many people that live like this if we are honest! And it is people that live this way, kicking the !!!! out of the current 'soft touch' benefit system that have angered so many hard working tax payers. I for one voted Tory in the hope they do have a serious shake up of 'Benefit Britain'!
Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE
