George Osborne has said there will be a second Budget this year.
He admitted this was unusual, but stressed it wasn't an emergency Budget as in 2010.

Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.

i thought a new budget was an automatic thing considering it is a new government.
many of the old faces are still in place but its a tory government as opposed to a tory-lib den coalition.
so any part the lib gems paid in the autumn budget is now irrelevant and will be replaced with tory only plans0 -
Be afraid. Be very afraid.0

It is to get ahead of Labour (as they are in disarray) and to set the scene up to conference. Expect more about further city devolution, powers being transferred to Scotland, tax allowances, lowering of the welfare cap, freezing of current benefit levels and more impetus for the housing sector.0

I should think so too.
I'm sitting back and waiting for the fun and games to start. Whatever happens the warnings have been on the wall for over 2 years. The people have given their majority verdict that they too are hoping for massive cut backs of expenditure from the Welfare pot.
If they fear what may now happen, they had the chance 2 weeks ago to stop it.0 -

Since when has 24 per cent been a majority verdict? The vast majority didn't vote Tory.0 -

You don't have to achieve 51% or more for it to be a majority - you seem not to know very much about the political arena.
If 24% is greater in total that what any other party received it is a majority.
Put it another way. Out of the possible 650 seats in the House of Commons, The Conservatives won more than 50% of them!0
