Hi Terry and Welcome.;)
That is fantastic, Congratulations.:beer::T:T
And good luck on your other reclaims.
Just spoke with EGG re another current loan account and they said that the PPI on that one is currently being investigated and that what will probably happen is my refunded PPI payments + interest will be deducted from the outstanding loan balance. This will be another huge help and great result for me. :T:j:T
Thanks again Martin :money: & the great :A MSE team

My first post here and a huge thank you to Martin.
After following the PPI reclaim instructions and based on the fact that I was self-employed at the time of taking out the PPI's and using the first template letter, cheque number one for £ 738.08 arrived from Egg this morning!
Just waiting on HSBC, Mint and Barclaycard now!
(So far Barclaycard have replied with a questionnaire to complete, the others with a standard reply letter)
Will post any further successes.
Thank you Martin and the MSE team, at a seriously hard time financially, these unexpected funds will make a real difference!
Best regards,

My story,
Received emails from a number of companies offering to try to claim back PPI for me, was interested but thought I'd check out information on this site. After reading all the info I decided to use the first Template letter off this site and put in a claim for all my loans from over the last 10 years (back to 2000).
Got a letter from HSBC saying they were looking into the claim and would be contact in four weeks time, got another letter after four weeks saying they needed another four weeks. Yesterday got another letter (about four weeks after the second letter) saying they are going to settle my claim, but without admitting libility. The total amount I'm getting back is just over £8500.
Just thought I'd share with everyone here and say thank you to Martin and his site.0 -

WOW this is fantastic :T:T
Many Congratulations.
Defo worth doing it all yourself, if you did end up going with a claims company then the chances are you would not have received the amount you received, so well done to you.:T;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hello.
Just a quick note to say thanks very much to all who run this website and those who post messages which encourage people to claim back mis-charged fees imposed.
Over the past 12 months I have claimed back two mis-sold PPI policies on loans from 2 major banks. The total paid back to me is in excess of £12k and I have been able to completely clear one loan and will hopefully be able to clear the remaining loan by the end of 2010.
The above was in no way an act of me being proactive in reclaiming what I was owed, it was completely down to the easy to follow guides, sample documents and success stories posted here!
I'm eternally grateful for the resources on this invaluable website and wish all others the best of luck in their claims and becoming debt free.
Much love.

Hi! As far as I am aware you would contact whoever sold you the policy.
I'm just learning all about this myself so I'm sure someone one here can say if thats right enough or give you further advice. Good luck!0
