hi after scouring bank statements lol i have found that i changed my morgatge to go with hsbc. they added life insurance and sickness cover seperatley. i remember them saying that because i was taking the morgatge with them i had to take it. is this the same as ppi? can i claim that back?

    Hi hun

Yes I think you can, afterall you should have been given the choice, so give it a go.;)
I take it you have not made a successful claim on it, for example, sickness or unemployment etc?

    Hi and Welcome Anne;)

To make a reclaim, you will require your account numbers on both loans, so if you do not have these on hand, do you have any old statements where this would show the monthly repayments, the account numbers would be shown next to the repayments.

    Are the loans still active?

If so you could request a Subject Access Request (SAR) where they have 40 days to comply/send all the info they still hold on your account, hopefully they still hold some details.
For a SAR request there is a charge of £10 postal order or cheque payment you have to enclose with this SAR request, and I would post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.
    Link here to SAR:

In regards of reclaiming, you write to the ones who sold you the loans, and they have 8 weeks in full to respond, again best to post by recorded delivery, more help with templates on link here

So check out the above and ask for help anytime as well, and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

    thanks for that
I cannot find my account numbers anywhere, but the loans only finished in 2008, and i know through telephoning them that they do have my details, and promised to send out the aggreements, but of course they never arrived
these loans went on forever because we were experiencing problems and cut down our payments, finally when we were nearing the end, my husband phoned to ask for another loan, he was told we couldnt have one. I then stopped the payments, then received a call from them to ask why, and i explained that after being a customer for so long, i was annoyed when i couldnt get a loan. The guy told me he couldnt understand why this would be, because we were such good customers blah blah, he told me if i could pay the final £86, then phone the local office, it was almost guaranteed that i would get another loan.....
He actually called to my house for the remaining money, i left £85 with my son to pay him. He actually phoned me and asked if he could come back when i was there for the outstanding £1 !!!!
When i rang the office and asked to apply for a new loan the following week, i was informed they had stopped lending money the week before!!
sorry if this is long winded, but i am now determined to get this money back, as i have managed to pay off all my debts, am now virtually debt free, and i just want to enjoy my life now
could anyone tell me what the time frame is for claiming off of WF

Anne, you go for it then.

In regards of you requesting for the agreements, did you enclose a £ postal order or cheque payment for this? with payment they should only take 12 days when you request for this in writing.

They seem rather petty don't they? For that £1.....

Many on here have been successful with reclaiming as from the late 90's so its always worth giving it a go, where many say just the last 6 years, I was actually successful on a 2001 case.;)
