Got letter from FOS today saying the adjudicator upheld my complaint against welcome but welcome are still trying to get out of it, my complaint was i was told wouldnt get loan without taking the ppi as the lady giving me the loan had a copy of my credit refrence files in her hand and said as they were so bad i would need the ppi....
The adjudicator is trying to talk welcome round if not she will pass it to an ombudsman who's decision is final, hopefully this will go my way and not too long now.

    Hi,

What year was your loan from? Just asking because I sent 1st template and got a reply stating 'you signed forms blah blah and you can't take this complaint to FOS because we weren't regulated by them at the time you took your loan out'. Wondered if it really is worth me pursuing this...
    2014 Challenge...

  • I sent in a letter to natwest regarding claiming back ppi on my loan well over a month ago and low and behold as i was just about to send another letter to complain that they hadn't responded to my letter i have had a transfer of over £2000 back into my account. I want to thank you martin as this couldn't have come at a better time as i am currently on maternity leave. anyone who reads this and is unsure about claiming, it really is so easy. I didn't expect anything back so as you can expect i am over the moon... thanks
  • Just noticed on a loan from alliance & leicster they have charged me interest on the ppi as well, thats shocking this cant be right?
  • Hi there anyone know the address to write for DFS?

my loans were dated from 2003-2005. they were regulated by fos in jan 2005 onwards prior to that they were still regulated by the FSA who are the ones fining companies for not complying to their rules 9 and 3 i think they are. go to the FSA site and read about their fines and the grounds on which it gave me good insight in extras to add when complaining and requested the ppi back!
MY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing
:rotfl:Im Feeling fine Debt free 2009!

Is there a link to the fines section? I have taken a look but could not see them. I spoke to the FSA today and to be honest they were most unhelpful stating that if its in the lenders terms and conditions you have no chance of redress!
