    Hi all,
    just to let you know even though the Ombudsman ruled in our favour mid July, EGG still have not stumped up the money, following advise on here we pestered them with e-mails, today a nice lady from Egg has rung to explain that a calculator being built has gone wrong and they cannot calculate the amounts of refund! Until this is built she says no one is being paid, after that we will be paid in date order. Timescale maybe 7 days maybe 30 days who knows how long is a piece of string?
  • Hi All, just thought I'd post a big thankyou to all the advice posted on these forums. I've been a lurker for a while, and followed the successes, and wanted to share my success with First Direct!
    Printed off the template for reclaiming PPI on the grounds that I was missold PPI due to being covered by my employer in the event of sickness, a fact I repeated on numerous occasions to the advisor on the phone at the point of taking the loan! But I was made to feel that I had to take the PPI like so many others I've read about on here!
    Sent 1st letter in July, after debating whether to bother for about two months, got a letter a week letter acknowledging my complaint and that I would receive a response within 10 days!

    Came home to a letter from them with a goodwill offer of £4725 including 8% interest, but not acknowledging any responsibility!

    Happy as larry doesn't quite cover it! My mood which has been sour for a while due to my finances suddenly picked up!
    Now to chase up Egg and Mint and see if I can get anything back from them!!!

    If there are any lurkers out there reading, go for it! Seriously I never in a million years thought I'd be successful, especially with only one letter!!

    To reclaim your PPI and cancel your loan, please go to cancelyourloan.co.uk
    Anyone who has been granted loan before April 2007 can claim his money back. You will get the legal advice about your loan refund and PPI.

    The claim works on no win no fee bases which makes it risk free which makes it worth while. We first need to get your agreements audited, the audits allow our solicitors to compare your agreement with rules set out by the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and subsequent ammendments. We will perform an Audit on almost all credit agreements.

    This includes:

    * Secured Loans
    * Unsecured Loans
    * Hire Purchase
    * Consolidation Loans
    * Car Loans/Finance
    * Credit Cards and Store Cards

    For more informaion please go cancelyourloan.co.uk. If you want to give them a call, you can dial 08448848678 and talk to one of our advisors directly.
    to do all this for the price of a few stamps, go to
    money saving expert.com forums, see the successes and help and guidance on the ppi reclaim thread, plenty of satisfied customers, no win no fee basis!!!! all advice free of charge

    Sounds like more excuses from Egg, building a calculator? how ridiculous.
    They have one calculator to process thousands of claims?
    Hope they have let the FOS know as they have said they will chase Egg if my money is not here.

    Sorry that sounded like I was shooting the messagenger! Just really cross with Egg and their rubbish.

  • Thank you to all for the inspiration and help in claiming back PPI.

    I have just won my second successful PPI claim via the FOS. this time against WELCOME FINANCE, they initially told me I was waisting my time and I had no chance but thanks to the knowledge gained from this site I WON !!!!

    It took about 8 months which seemed like forever but don't be put off, they will all say no to you but go through the FOS. and you should be fine.

    I have now got my money back plus interest. £3016.
