    i also recieved a letter from him just to say that he was looking into resolving the complaint informally , is this standard practice too , think it may be to do with the fact the claim is for ppi on a c/c but i filled in the application online , after being advised on the phone take the ppi ?

    Hi guys, just picked myself up off the floor!!!!!!

    First Plus just sent a letter saying:

    "Have completed investigation into concerns and conclude details of insurance not explained correctly! Upholding full refund of £6,146.99 plus interest of £709.35, less any rebate received in settlement figure £1,604.76. Final response."

    Wahoooooooooo!

    Oh no wait a minute, that works out to be about 75% of the full refund plus the interest!!!!!!!!!!! Have I seen that figure somewhere before?

    Not convinced that i received any refund in the settlement!

    Think I'm going to have to request an itemised copy of the settlement statement to check it over I think! They say I can still go to the FOS, but why would I need to if they are not trying to wriggle out of paying the whole amount? Or are they?

    I am happy but still some digging to do I think!

    Any thoughts guys? Di?

    I think this have also happened to many on here as well in regards of being sold ppi online, so maybe you do have a point here.

    Hi Russ and WOW.......:eek:.

    This is fab news Russ, so happy for you.:T

    However, yes do request for that full written breakdown of calculations as well, then you have something to work on, they must supply these on request, they may even send them anyway, but make sure by asking for them just in case.
    Congratulations.:beer::j:beer::T:T

    Hi di, I'm gonna draft a letter tonight to request the breakdown of what I paid to settle the loan. Not sure I received any rebate in the figure I paid because I remember it being more than £30,000 I paid back on the settlement for the 25,000 loan! £6856.34-£5251.58=£1604.76 That's a big wedge of cash to miss out on if they are pulling a fast one!

    Hi Russ and I totally agree with you, you never know do you?, so best you do that to make sure they are not doing you out of all the money that should be owed out to you. There's a lot of money there, I don't blame you.
    Hope they send this soon, good luck Russ.;)
