Alliance and leicester actually wrote to me asking if I wanted to make a complaint regarding the mis-selling of PPI on my last loan. I wrote back confirming that I did and they have just made me an offer of just under £1900 against my claim for PPI mis-selling on a loan of £10,500.
Happy days !!!!0 -

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have been lurking for a while and took the plunge a few weeks ago. Requested PPI payments on an RBS loan which I paid off in 2005. Well, I was gob-smacked when less than 3 weeks later they confirmed they would be re-paying £2.3k!
I am now pursuing all loans/CC charges and am so encouraged by the stories on this forum. I wondered whether anyone has had experience reclaiming CC charges where they applied online? Has anyone successfully challenged the " you ticked th box" response?
Many thanks!
Hello and welcome.;)
Well done, this is wonderful, Congratulations.:beer:
In regards of online sales, this can be a difficult one, but I believe from what I have read on Martins front page (PPI guidelines) there are ways around this and I am aware there have been some success as well, so keep trying, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hey all
i followed the advice on this site to the letter to reclaim my PPI on a Halifax Loan and it worked a treat!
After sending my letter off i recieved one back within a week saying they where going to investigate my claim.
a few weeks after that i got a letter saying they are going to refund me a total sum of £1150 and drop my repayments to £147 a month from £168
Fantasic result!!!:T0 -

I am still waiting for a response from First Pish! My post doesn't get delivered until mid afternoon so it's a case of waiting round with one eye on the letter box on my days off. The second letter is all ready to go off in case they don't bother replying, which I half expect to be honest. 7 days to go
Just a quick update on my communications with First Plus! Finally got a response letter from them, exactly 4 weeks since my frist letter to them, which read thus;
"In my previous letter I promised to keep you updated with the progress of my investigation. I remain committed to resolving your complaint as quickly as I can and will contact you again by the 27th August 2009"
What a shocker, that takes it to the magical 8 week mark! I wonder if they will settle off their own backs? I doubt it! Heads up for the FOS, another case heading your way I would imagine! Will keep you all updated.0 -
