  • I have 2 loans with Lloyds TSB, both finishing next year and both with PPI. The first loan was taken out in 2003 and was re-financed 2004. When re-financing (over the phone) I did enquire about not having the PPi but felt pressured into taking it. On the second loan (wasn't able to re-finance other loan so had to take out another) I again felt pressured to take the PPI, especially after the conversation from the last loan! Even though i was aware of the PPI am I eligible to reclaim on the grounds that I was pressured into taking it? Also, what effect does it have on the existing loans?

  • had a letter from first plus today containing a cheq for £19,560.32., in settlement of my complaint that i had been mis sold PPI. i can,t believe it. i can only say a massive thank you to Martin and this site for all the advice on how to claim in the first place, and to think when i recieved the letter from first plus saying they didnt think i had been mis sold, i nearly didnt write to the ombudsman cos i thought they would turn me down too. so anyone out there who is having second thoughts about complaining, get on with it straight away, you have nothing to lose and all to gain. i,m over the moon. thanks again Martin. xx

Well basically they cant have it both ways can they? either you're not eligable to claim therefore the right questions were not asked in the first place or you were'nt mis sold therefore they have to honour your claim! my claim is with the FOS.
    Good Luck.
  • say you want to escalate the claim internally thats what i did and they offered me 78% back as a good will gesture
