PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

I have just had decision back from Lloyd's tsb for a PPI settlement of £17,500!!!! I went into an IVA on my final loan with Lloyd's and eventually made a settlement with them to clear the loan so was always nervous about putting a claim in for PPI, so always said I would wait to see if They contacted me, sure enough they eventually did! So I filled in their questionnaire and went through a phone interview and have now had settlement for all loans I've ever had with Lloyd's with a total repayment of £17,500!!! I was amazed, I recall being told when I took out the loan that the PPI was essential for me to get approval, which was main basis of my claim. Last loan where majority of claim comes from was a £25k loan over 5yrs. I don't actually recall the details of the previous loans.
Have not seen anything on here about people reclaiming when they'd been through IVA short settlement etc, so if you have been in same situation, don't be afraid to claim, you're still entitled if you feel you were mis sold!0 -
i Have had 3 claims with lloyds upheld with now trip to the ombudsman.
2 of them only in part ( not sure what this means )
But they have agreed to pay on all 3.
This was with Lloyds TSB on loans going back to 2001
In all they have agreed to pay me £3000
Letter says if i agree i dont need to do anything and they will send me a chq in 28 days
Just in time for christmas and a trip to Berlin maybe
They put up no fight i had one phone call about 1 loan and non about the other 2.

I didn't know I had taken out PPI when I took a loan with First Plus. They wrote to me telling me to claim, I ignored them. They wrote again saying time was running out, I ignored them! I saw a thread on MSE and thought "What the Hell... no harm in a phone call." I didn't have many details, I didn't use a company and yesterday I got a letter telling me I was to receive a refund of just over £16,000! I won't believe it till the money's in the bank.
Thank you MSE! Such a happy person today, money's coming at such a good time :jProud to be dealing with my debts!

Since the internet is international, it doesn't matter where you post from.0
