1 letter to Sainsbury's bank about 1 month ago! 1 cheque received for £1600! Plus another letter to say there will be another £250 on its way! Total reclaims for me and my partner are now £10k!!

All for the price of stamps!
    :j:j:j well done you:D:D
  • I'M soooooo pleased to be able to post this, after 18months 3 letters and several emails and involving the FOS I finally got the outcome I wanted which was £2,372 for miss-sold PPI about 5 years ago. I'm so pleased as I took out a loan back then when I was a bit green financially and didn't really question anything. I went in for a loan and was told as I was a single parent I had to have the PPI to get the loan and in the same sitting was pushed into contents insurance and life insurance all of which were unsuitable policies.

I think its about time that banks were not allowed to get away with it.

Thank you Martin and MSE, my wedding fund is looking much healthier now!!!:T

    Success!

Wrote to HSBC to claim PPI (from a loan all paid off in 2007) in mid-Feb and just got a letter y'day informing I'll be getting just over £2,100 back! All it took was one letter from the template page & 2 months. I'm very happy. Now I'm using that money to pay off all my credit card debts then I'll be debt free.

Just a question -How long will it take the money to go into my bank account? I'm gonna send off the acceptance letter on Tuesday 14th Apr. Thanks!

Three cheers for loans.co.uk!!! After one letter on 16 January 2009, had a reply within a week asking for more time, had letter 6 weeks later accepting fault, last wednesday, had settlement offer of £9160 to come direct to me, in my bank by this Friday, and £1620 refunded to loan!!!! The biggest delay was waiting for GE Money (who were the actual lender) to respond with figures!!!
    Total refund £10780!!!!
