W:I was reclaiming PPI for a Personal loan which I was forced to take when I took out the loan two years ago with Egg Banking plc. I just got a letter today and I got £1367 back after sending in a letter from the template on this website. I thought I was going to ave a bigger fight on my hands, but it worked.

I had tried to claim on the payment protection insurance last year only to find that I wasn't covered. The loan ended in February 2009. I was on this website and saw that Egg had been penalised for misselling their ppi. So I thought why not give it a try and I got the money for the insurance back and it worked. So thanks to Martin Lewis for the advice and instructions! I'll never get ripped off again....

Well done to you, Congratulations :T:beer:
What wonderful news, it makes me so happy with all these wins:jXX

You have re financed loans here and at the moment there is no known forumlae to work them out. (That I am aware of). The FOS are looking into this at the moment for their settlements and I am sure will publish when they are confirmed. If it was a stand alone e.g. not refinanced and it had been settled then MARSHALLKA is good at working these out. If they are still going on and you want to settle etc then TURBOMAN is the man. He is also I believe working with FOS on working out refinanced loan PPI etc.

Hope they may be able to help. p.s. Maxdp is she not he :rotfl:

OMG How rude of me max! Sorry just persumed. Knowing hopw good you are at sorting peeps probs and being so wise i should have guessed u were female! (have i flattered my way outta trouble here??!)

Yeah they are refinanced so looking at the breakdown they have done for me they are paying me back all policy payments i made plus the early settledment charge plus intrest and they have just said they are upholding the complaint, so they havent denied blame. Thinking its probo a good offer. Dont really know what i would be expecting if i refuse it.

:rotfl::rotfl:LOL it is the name which is confusing. Could not sign on with name I wanted so used maxdp which is shortened from Maximum Depth which was a project I was working on at the time for work. It has got so bad I even sign my name Max:eek:. My OH is now shocked and thinks he may end up on one of the Jerry Springer programmes "I married a man".

Just carry on with the flattery as well it is working.

    Hi everyone
I have won the PPI battle with HFC they have agreed to pay out!
However I did have to go as far as FO but we got there in the end
I received a letter from the FO explaining how HFC will be working out my payment and how long it will take HFC to send payment.
I was just wondering if anyone else has put in a claim with the FO against HFC and if sucessful how long they take to pay?
The FO said if by 8 weeks I have not had any payment, to contact them
well its the 7th week and I just dont think HFC are going to stick to there agreement!!
I have had so much trouble with them in the passed I just have no faith in them!! Unfortunately at this present moment I could really do with the money

So if anyone has had dealings with HFC this way I would be greatful of your comments
    Thanks

We have also just reached the 8 week point and the refund has still not arrived, have wrote to HFC they should get the letter today (15/04/09). Will wait 1 week then will speak to FO again, have you heard any more from them?
