The letter we had did not give a full breakdown detail like yours.

Maybe someone else dealing with it lol, but I can recall the mistakes they kept making on sending double statements out, and like a fool and naive back then and without questionning I still paid......:o, but questioned it after we moved house, there was lots of mistakes, so we think the refund includes the overpayments made as well.

Have to dig them out to re-check ;)

Oh definitely check - could you maybe ask for a more comprehensive breakdown?

It's just like a written paragraph, then it says if happy we do not have to do anything, and they will send cheque by 30 days.

Yes mine says that too after the calculation has been detailed. I have a form attached as well in case I wish to challenge the offer.
  • Just saw a website that says you can claimback simple interest AND compound interest on a store card.

Found a calculator that works this out and it does make a huge difference to the settlement offer. Only thing, it is one of those PPI companies so don't know if it's just rubbish information to entice new customers or if you can in fact claim the compound interest back!

Don't want to challenge Genworth and look stupid :rotfl:

    Reclaim upheld by Underwriter/Genworth.
I would just like to confirm that in regards of a rejection from Santander via GE cap one, an account opened from 1997 until 2005, FLA also rejected, as their letter arrived today, and at the same time as Genworth Financial, who is the underwriter/insurer of GE Cap bank.

Very chuffed, and as this was not long rejected by Santander, it only taken a matter of a few weeks (2) with the underwriter.
    Full refund with interest too.
Well done Di! Was this for a Debenhams card by any chance?

My complaints were also upheld by the same company and my store cards were Topshop and Dorothy Perkins which were/are both part of the Arcadia Group. :-)
