i just sent off my form on thursday to Ulster Bank trying to reclaim PPI on a 2000 pound loan back in 2006 .
Also i sent off today my EGG credit card form for PPI - my credit card was for 800 pounds. How long usually does it take to get a response for these companies ?
Any information / experiences would be great!!0 -

I had a credit put in almost 5 weeks ago totalling just under £11k and as Amersall knows I could hardly breathe waiting on confirmation. Am just so delighted, for the first time in 24 years I don't have a balance on my card
Onwards and upwards. Thanks everyone :T

You are welcome, keep us posted.
This may take a long time or may not work, but see what happens.0 -

You should receive an acknowledgement around 2 weeks, they then have 6 weeks to give you a final decision, they may ask for more time at this point, if they do, let them have it, you could have a result one way or the other sooner than the 8 weeks, good luck.0 -
Just wanted to thank MSE and all the posts on this forum for giving me the kick up the proverbial to get on with sorting out my ppi claim with MBNA, thanks to reading about all the success I sent them the completed template found here for free and got letter yesterday with confirmation of my refund for my credit card, a very helpful £3200 and still waiting for the result on my other credit card with them which should go the same way, so if you're uhmming and aahing over pursuing your claim do it today, it couldn't be simpler and for the cost of a postage stamp I'm now on my way to being debt free. In all it's taken just over 8 weeks from start to finish and no claim company fee either!0

I didn't have any of the information relating to my Loan with Ulster bank as it was so long ago - but i am still at the same address / account number - do you think this will cause any problems?
Also with Egg credit card my account is closed with them from 5 year ago and have no details at all for it! .. i am thinking this may lead to the process dragging0 -
Hello, I got an offer from my bank about my PPI claim, I have been offered £498.00, I dont think its a lot for what I have been reading in the forum, I fact its not even what I have paid for the PPI over the years. I got my credit card in 2005, and I never missed a payment, i tend to pay in full at the end of every month. Never knew about the PPI until couple of months ago, as it was miss sold over the phone, i guess. Does anyone know how much I will be entitle to? Am I entitle to a compensation as we have not been informed about these payments? or I just get the money that I paid back?
Thanks.0 -

Credit cards and loans are different, if you paid off in full over many months then you wont have paid PPI.
How do you know it is notas much as what you have been paying over the years? Do you have comprehensive statements or have you taken one statement and multiplied by the number of years you held it for?
You can ask them for a full breakdown of the figures and how they arrived at the result. CC PPI does not normally pay as much out as loans as the pyments are generally a lot less.CC 1 :- £5800/ £5,800 CC2:-[STRIKE] £4513 / £4513[/STRIKE] CC3: £4622.53/ £4622.53[/STRIKE] CC4:- £8971/ £8971[/STRIKE]Loan:- [STRIKE]£1785.63 / £1785.63[/STRIKE] 0
Actual total debt January 2011 £39,451.30 Paid to date 39,375.77

Seems to me from what ive read on here there is not a lot of consistency on payouts. Some seem to have to do little work at all to get compensation while others have to seek the FOS route even though there claims have identical reasons.Ive sent off about 8 claims im hoping to get lucky at least on one ...0
