PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi all,

I happened to stumble across this fantastic site when I was told by a friend you can get 2 4 1 meal vouchers. When I came on I saw reclaim £1000s (my eyes lit up) and when I read into it I realized that the company egg whom I have a loan and credit card with where mentioned. So after some reading I sent my ppi claim letter to egg a very very simple letter downloaded from this site, with no reason of why I was claiming other than then because they had been fined by the fsa. I sent it recorded delivery and within a few days I received a letter dated 06/03/09 saying they had received my claim and they would look into it and reply within 8 weeks.

17 days later YES 17 days later I checked my account and my loan has been reduced by £2150.51 and monthly payments have dropped by £91.21. All this from one letter and £1.08 recorded delivery!!

I have since sent a claim for my credit card so fingers crossed.

I would like to thank Martin and everyone involved in this site and everyone helping others get there claims sorted as if I hadn’t read a few of the stories I would have never tried to claim myself……. So glad I did….!!

Just had a letter from the FOS.We have won our case against First Plus:D
Just wondered if anone can help with Calculations.
PPI Premium was £6146. early settlement 14 months ago and took the loan out in 2006.

I took out a loan with HFC several years ago. I followed the advice and letters on the website and at first my application was turned down. I used the template letter to ask that my request be reconsidered and after a couple of months ( and 2 VERY polite telephone calls to their office) I received a total refund of my PPI including interest to the value of £4850. I highly recommend that you follow the advice given, be polite and be patient.

Hmmm, oh dear, its been a while now and I'm no longer dealing with this company, as I have a solicitor instead, but it was actually the FOS who sent the details off for me, because I did not hear from HFC direct I contacted the FOS who then told me, it was the insurer I had to contact and not HFC, as this was about the rebate and not mis selling.

However I think at one time when I did write or email them it was 2 weeks or so when I heard back from them, but that was not to do with a complaint but to do with insurance terms and conds.

Did you post by recorded delivery?

Hopefully you should hear soon hun and I think there are many on here who have experience with this company.;)
