Under no circumstances should you cancel PPI on a front loaded loan other than after a mis-selling complaint has been upheld. Otherwise you'll continue to pay interest on cover you no longer have.0 -
cheers for the replies. I enquired regarding ppi via the telephone as I was unsure if I had it.
I'm unsure of my next step just wanted some clarification.0 -

However, I disagree that simply putting that phrase into a leaflet should be classed as mis-selling.
I also think arguing semantics isn't likely to help anyone seeking redress of mis-sold PPI.
It does sem strange though that one M&S customer is successful while the other isn't.
I hope for the price of a stamp lazydaisy that you somehow achieve what klflosser did.0 -

Hi, I've been waiting for Clydesdale to put my compensation into my bank account. I sent the acceptance form of the offer a week ago today and they received it by recorded delivery the following day.
If they paid it immediately or even a couple of days after - I'd have the money by now. Any clue what might be holding them up? Should I contact them? My bank account is with them and they're doing a straight transfer rather than sending a cheque.
Are banks known for holding back payments?
Thanks in advance. :-)0 -
Just in response to the query about length of time waiting for payment, I sent back all three signed offer letters from RBS for a three times consolidated loan on Monday last week.
Two of the payments (the smaller amounts) were in my account by Saturday (and text from them to say so).
Was a bit concerned that the third and largest of the payments had yet to appear so rang their PPI team this morning. They confirmed they received the signed offer for it and should be paid sometime soon which was good enough for me.0 -

Lloyds took the full 28 days to pay the money straight into my account but Halifax sent me a cheque within 5 days.0 -

Cheers
I sent off my Capital One complaint mid May and didn't get an letter of acknowledgement until last week, telling me it would be 8 - 10 weeks before they will deal with my complaint due to high volumes.
So they are slower than some. You can ring the number on their website, but you are unlikely to get any response except 'we are dealing with it'. Sorry, don't know about Mint.
Hope that helps, good luck!0
