Finally received hubbies 5 offer letters this morning from the Natwest.
Reclaimed 5 seperate PPI all part of a chain of loans and have been offered £5600 refund. Some slight confusion as to why they offered a refund on the last loan which had no PPI on it, and no offer on the first loan which was listed on the claim letter but will address these in the covering letter we send back with the acceptance forms.
Have to reiterate that hubby does NOT want this money paid into his current outstanding loan with the bank as he did not take out PPI and so was all on paid loans.
They received the original letter from me on the 11th April but due to a change of address sent it back to us, delayed the process by a good 2 weeks so overall has so far taken about 11 weeks now lets hope it doesn't take to long to receive the cheques and hope they do send the money to hubby!
Outstanding Barclaycard PPI still in process not holding out much hope having read about the amount of people being refused at the moment! Received a letter from them saying will be longer than the 8 weeks and we can go to FOS but decided against this might as well wait for Barclaycard.
Overall so far between us have had over £9000 reclaimed and close friends and family whom I have helped have had over £25000.
Thanks for everyone who keeps this forum running your all doing a great job!!:beer:0 -

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give advice - sorry first time i have done this!
I applied for a 7.500 secured pound loan from welcome finance in 2002. i sold my flat in 2005 and welcome were paid off after payin 3000 ponuds repayments and 12.000 from flat, or so i thought till they showed up sayin i still owed 5.000 interest a few months later!!!!!!!!! i went to C.A.B and was advised to give them nothing as if it went to court it would be thrown out. I have just applied for PPI and had a reply within2 weeks saying that i am entitled to 4,687.38 but this is being set off and i still owe 8,904.15, how is this possible when i basically paid back 15.000 i got nothing from sale off flat they took everythin, i am now a single mum off 2 young girls and was wondering if anyone would know how to fight this, one friend has told me that there is no way that they can keep it as even if there was any debt it was paid off over 6 years ago so there is no debt to pay, is this correct?
any advice would be gratefully appreciated!!
thanx

Rang MBNA today to see how my claim for PPI on my credit card is going and they said there was a letter sent out yesterday refusing claim
If this was a final response then send it to FOS.0 -
hi there - i have been made an offer by HSBC on PPI mis sold on a Graduate Loan. thanks to all for the help on this site
What's the best way to check that the offer they have made is correct? I just want to make sure, having come this far, that it is what I should be paid.
I have been offered £1461.49 (ppi repayment) £891.51 interest = £2353.00. The PPI was front loaded on a loan taken out in July 2002, and paid off in full in October 2007. Am I correct in thinking it is 8% from the beginning of the life of the loan?
Looks like they have given you the PPI and the interest, this is what they should give you.
The 8% is on a decreasing scale for each monthly payment of PPI that you made to the date they pay you back, the nearer you get to to the payout date, the less the 8% is.0 -

Contact Welcome and ask for the full breakdown of the account as you dispute the balance they say you owe after the ppi, you are the second poster that has posted with this query, CAB should not have told you to not pay the debt as the interest on any balance will keep going on the loan and this is why you owe the amount you do, they gave you the wrong advice and this is why you owe the amount that you do.
Get all the details that you can regarding this debt and then put a complaint into Welcome and ask them to look at the balance you should owe, if they do not comply then take this to FOS.0 -
