Some great news from my first confirmed response to various PPI reclaims.....

All PPI refunded together with interest on 5 (linked) consolidation loans with Halifax between 2001-2010!

I'm now £19,400 happier :) thanks to everyone who helped me pluck up the courage and energy to fill in the questionnaires on here :)

    Wow! That's fantastic congratulations

I can't post a link on here but anyone read the Guardian article dated 13 June regarding Barclaycard PPI claims. It says all those prior to April 20th will be automatically refunded. No questions asked?!

Hubby sent his 2 BC questionnaires off to them end of April so we just miss out! Have had one rejection, haven't heard about the other even though it was in the same envelope as the other one.
Is this from last year? as Bob Diamond said all claims prior to the court ruling in april would be paid out, those claims put in after the court case in april will be looked at through the mis sell procedure.

I cannot find the article you mentioned on the guardian website for June this year, this one is from last year.

I am not sure if they are trying to just send the cheque expecting me to take it then the matter to be closed.
This is exactly what they are doing. If you're unhappy with the offer then simply don't cash the cheque and write back to them with your reasons. If they state it's their final offer, you can go to the Ombudsman-but do be aware that this can take a year or more to resolve. If you've received full redress of all your PPI plus 8% simple interest, I'd be cashing the cheque if I were you....
  • I had several loans with Lloyds TSB, but repaid the last one over 10 years ago, and had no paperwork or reference numbers from these transactions. I thought that as the loan was repaid over six years ago, the matter was statute barred.

I filled in the form downloaded from your website, and within a month Lloyds refunded almost £15 000 to my account! Thanks very much for your help and advice.

Fantastic!! I just hope I have the same answer. I only rang Lloyds TSB this week so think I have a long way yet, but hearing your story gives me some hope :T:j not sure how much I would get back as I've had 4 loans over the last 10 years and not small amounts. Well done

    Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on whether to just sign this acceptance letter from the building society re my ppi claim on a loan?
Hey, its not a big cash sum - but I'm happy (better than nada :))

I had a loan for 3 years for 3K in 2004 and thought I'd fire a letter off - nothing ventured, nothing gained! Just this morning (sent my claim 6th June) I got a letter saying they agreed with my claim - "I do not feel the information provided to you was adequate in order for you to make an informed decision about the policy for your needs", so they have made me an offer which makes up of this:

    - refund of loan premiums paid at the time plus (this is what i dont quite get and maybe someone can explain) and i quote "in addition, interest has been calculated for a further 28 days from the date of calculation at the statutory rate of 8% simple" - what does this mean, where's the 28 days coming in?

In my letter i asked for refund of premiums plus interest plus statutory compensation (is this what the 8% is?) Can anyone shed any light on this? Do I just accept? I've got 28 days.

    3k loan over 3 years
refund of loancare premium incl interest paid on premium - £248.40
28 days interest from date of calculation at stat rate 8% - £120.52
    total £368.92
Do these amounts sound right? I've no idea...

    Thanks, would appreciate any advice?:)

:j:jOffer letter through this morning... just under £7,000:T:T:T

    I'm over the moon:D:D:D

Their reason for upheld given, was that they were single premium PPI policies.
