PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

The reasons I gave for mis seling was that the person dealing with my loan, by the phone, did not mention that the policy was optional and was very pushy not giving me any chance of questioning and making me fell intimidated as English is not my first language (well, and all the technical terms dont help), and felt that that could affect my application.
If you settled this loan early then, as above you, would have a pro rata rebate and you would have paid back the remaining PPI in with the settlement figure.
Write back to them rejecting the reasons they gave for not upholding and tell them this was Single Premium PPI and the way this worked was not explained full to you, you did not know about the pro rata rebate you would be given if you cancelled the PPI or that at early settlement the remaining PPI after the pro rata rebate would still be on the Loan, tell them that if they do not look at your complaint again you will send this to the Financial Ombudsman.0 -
Also my hubby said we probally will have to pay tax on that, how would you do that?
That is if you have got off the floor yet :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
:T:T Congrats
Give them a ring and ask how they will pay the money, if any one on here knows what they do I am sure they will let you know.0 -
Have not been posting here in a while (personal reasons).;)
But would like to Congratulate everyone with your successes.
Well done and Congratulations to you all.:beer::beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Ok not PPI related, but to post a success in regards of a mortgage matter.
It's a long story, but a few mistakes here and there with the mortgage which we tried pointing out when it was taken out, it was raised again recently where they got in touch and made an apology about it, and they have knocked the mortgage payment to half of what it was and will also receive further compo for the inconvenience and distress this have caused.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Browsing through some of these success stories is so inspirational and I get such a buzz reading them.
House of Fraser via Santander's Complaints Resolution Dept have currently stated they are not upholding my complaint concerning PPI as there was not enough information. Calmly, I rejected their response and attached the information concerning the confirmed PPI held since 1995 sent to me by their OWN CREDIT DATA MANAGEMENT and send it to the Complaints Resolution Team member(( and requested a response from their Manager within 12 working days, this was on 18th May, to date I've received no response but I'm not bitter, if it's a fight they want ....:p. It seems their Depts do not communicate with each other
Also started one for Capitalone Card, received the 8 week response from Lloydstsb regarding PPI on a CC and also RBS CC are yet to respond to my initial complaint. I also successfully achieved PPI credit for Lloydstsb loan for my Mummy (over £2k) and currently have another PPI CC complaint in the works for her, she thoroughly deserves it, she has worked so hard for so long. Bless Her:A
I had great success in March with Lloydstsb PPI loan, to which I've told everyone I know to use MSE and apply.:)
This site, the members is an absolute blessing, I encourage anyone who feels nervous to push through and listen to :money: and the fantastic members, you simply can't go wrong, there's nothing to lose and lot if you choose to use the credit claim companies:eek:.Current loan £12,295, Overdraft £550, Natwest C/Card £1295, - AIM - TO SMASH THE JOLLY LOT

I phoned up llyods/tsb on the off chance after putting in a claim with them in March and the lady on the phone said a letter was sent out on the 28th May and i am pleased to let you know that your claim has been successful with the amount of £7000+ i only got the £7000 part i know there was some bits she added after that but i lost it by then.
I really hope this is true but dont want to say anything to anyone or think about it much until i get the letter in my hands.
I really wasnt expecting that maybe £1000 but to be honest i really dont know how much i was paying and how long for so really had no clue, this would be great for us if this is true.
Also my hubby said we probally will have to pay tax on that, how would you do that?
PS: To update hubby said call back explain and see what they say and she was lovely and calm and said am i sitting down, lol. She said the amount is £7838 and to have a lovely weekend. I am so excited x
Also just another question, would the money go in my bank or would I get a cheque? I know I will have to wait for the money but I just wondered which way they did it.
I also want to thank this site as before I found this site I was thinking of going through a claims company, it is so easy to do it on your own so anyone thinking of going through a claims company Don't!
Utterly Wonderful. Do just as the lady at the bank said...Have a wonderful weekend.Current loan £12,295, Overdraft £550, Natwest C/Card £1295, - AIM - TO SMASH THE JOLLY LOT

HI
I have received a response from Capital one Credt card. they say that I my OH applied on line which is correct and that we did not takeout PPI.
It was taken when we registered/activated the card. this was in 2004.
I cannot see why we would have accepted the PPI as we would never do this?
they say this is their final respose,
has anyone else had this? should I just go to the FOS or should I ask them to take another look, asking for transcrits of the conversation?
My Partner was in a well paid job with a good sickness and redundancy package.
He would not have agreed to this?
Any help or advice would be appreciated
thanks0 -

Hiya
If you have proof on any paperwork that your OH was sold PPI, then I would send them a copy and ask them to look into this again, tell them this have been overlooked by them.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
