Was a customer with them for 5 years. Downloaded the forms from here and sent them in. Got a reply saying I would get a response within 6 weeks time.
Well today, 4 weeks later, I got a reply saying they had investigated my claim but couldnt agree that they had acted inappropiately......read between the lines on that one.
They also stated that they wanted to bring matters to a close and enclosed a cheque to the total amount of PPI that I had paid over the 5 years. Not a fortune but a win!!!!!0 -
I Have tryed to claim back my PPI from Penrican Credit LTD, they sent me a letter saying because they where not regulated by the GSIC before 2005 and the loan was in 2003 they will not pay the PPI back.
Now, no matter when or where they where regulated miss selling is miss selling, right, so in my book they should pay back what is not their's, dose anyone have an idea how to about this because otherwise these pople are getting away with ripping us all off, someting HAS to be done about them, any info on how to get this money back would be a great help.
Thanks. Steve.0 -
Halifax success
Made one phone call March 12th had no documentation / account number etc - Just the 4 digits from an old bank statement.
Halifax confirmed i had PPI on my loan back in 2004 - loan fully repaid in 2005
Received a letter within 7days confirming they were investigating the Misselling of PPI and that i would hear the outcome within 8 weeks.
23rd April i had the letter to say they were upholding my complaint.
and would receive a cheque within 28 days
for £1690.00
Cheque received 9th May and banked
one happy bunny here !!!!
Thank you MSE and the experts on the forum for your advice and support and i couldn't have done it without you0 -

Just got at £7800 offer from HFC
beneficial loan from 2004
Rang them....they sent me a form to complete
4 weeks later......offer made and accepted
Waiting on an Egg loan from similar period, they have had my form 6 weeks so expect something soon
Already out of debt (smug!) so this money has gone into savings account........yes savings! Who would have thought!!
Dont use Claim companies
Make your claim

Simple........
And the key lesson from the start.....avoid getting into debt!.....i made that mistake when young, taken 10 years to get sorted.....no my money is mine to enjoy

Hi all
New here And what a great forum .
Just starting to try reclaim mis-sold ppi from various loans and credit cards from 2001 to present due to the fact when these were taken on not once have I been asked if I have life cover critical illness cover or redundancy which I have is that a strong enough case ? .
Also I ran in to financial problems during 2008/09 and was getting demands from the co-op bank after loads of final warning demands they suggested to start a loan which was agreed but in the application letter it says if you applied for ppp which I never did for this loan to tick this box to confirm this which stupidly i may of done but on the fixed loan agreement there is no record of this on there will it be swallowed up in the interest ? And during all phone calls and letters they have never asked me about my employment cover .
Do I have a case .
Sorry for the long winded post.0 -

Look here for reasons for mis sell
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2
If any/all apply to you then put the claims in.
With the Co Op loan, if you had PPI then it will show on the agreement, if there is none there , then you do not have it, it is not swallowed up with the interest.0 -

If they said you had PPI then put the claim in for that loan, it is possible that this could be another loan you had, although the PPI should be on the agreement, is it your agreement or the one they keep that you have the "no PPI" info ?.
Sorry not to sure fixed loan agreement 3 papers look excactly the same 2 say this is a copy for myself the other one just the agreement also a pre-contract information .is ppi and ppp kind of the same thing ?0
