  • Hello all,

First time post from somebody who's been lurking long enough to gain enough knowledge to submit a (as of this week) successful claim to HFC bank. Thanks to everyone of you whom have shared your experiences.

Just my quick take on all of this .. I think that the terms 'winning' and references to being lucky etc are incorrect -

I propose that you think of these claims as just getting back what is rightfully yours, and that these banks have been exploiting all of us with these useless insurance schemes for years, they have even been creaming more interest from them on top of their established interest terms, and miss informing us that these schemes are a pre-requisite to getting any financial input at an often vulnerable time.

Rant almost over, please get back what is yours and don't think it's a matter of luck.

    Excellent,
With my experience of Nemo, as it was back in about 2007, it did take some time because I ended up taking it to the FOS.

However, with lots of this going on now, I would expect they should refund you within 28 days, if not then chase it up, good luck.

    Hello and welcome

Going from other posters here and there, Barclays do appear to send questionnaire's, especially if they require further information where not enough of this was given over the phone.

They should acknowledge your complaint in writing within a week or 2 at most, and confirm when you should hear a decision, normally this is 8 weeks as from when you first complained.

    Fingers crossed.;)
