Are Barclays correct saying they are still entitled to recoup the cash? If so thats damn unfair that they get two bites of the cherry!
It is you who have defaulted on loans and now want the lender to pay you redress while you still owe them money!
Anyway, you still technically owe them money even though they've agreed to let you off with a reduced amount due to your IVA. Just be grateful your other lenders were so accommodating!0 -
Hi,
I received a letter from HSBC today offering me £9580.11 for the misselling of PPI on Graduation loans I have had and refinanced over the last 10 years. I followed all the advice on here and used the templates and received a response 9 weeks later. So very Happy!:j0 -
PPI on loan.
Blackhorse
£12,828. :T
This arose from one letter and a questionnaire being filled in.
They agreed to look at our current loan and the two earlier ones that had been refinanced. I didn't expect to get anything but thought I would just try.
So just do it!0 -

Thats what worries me. The IVA was a hard five years. My understanding was its a binding agreement on both parties. Me and Barclays. They had the opportunity to say no. They ultimately recouped 50p in the pound from me. Whats more concerning, is that if I now save with any of these organisations, it means that they can take the money back.0 -

EGG Card Fail
Hi All,
Egg have said as my application in 2004 was on line and the PPI box was ticked and I accepted T&C's they have rejected my complaint.
My view is I only saw a tick box and cant remember if it was prefilled.
If I ticked it it was as I was given the impression by the website that my aplication would be more favorable if I selected this.
No T&C's were presented for PPI on its own and I assumed the T&C's were for the card.
I feel the website was not clear and was designed to encourage me to take PPI and not give me any view that it was optional and other products were available. There was not enough information given for me to make an informed decision.
Doe anyone have any advise?
Cheers

Did you actually claim the full 8666.93, if you did then how did that happen? most claims for PPI on the policy only usually cover 12 months payments, did they give you a breakdown of this redress with actual figures?.0 -
I am now pulling together the stuff to go the FSO, but am I right in doing this? I havent got hold of the wrong end of the stick have I? Are banks still able to chase me for the remaining debt even though the IVA was successully completed and discharged?
