Ok so kinda a success from lloyds and kinda NOT.
Called the dedicated ppi line around 20th march regarding a credit card account I have held since 2001, acknowledgement letter approx week later. Letter upholding complaint received on Fri 4th May for grand total of!...... £23.70! (unfortunately not a typo!)

it seems they have based this on the set of Duo cards (they send an amex and MasterCard one) first issued in March 2008 according to them. On my initial phone call l did indicate that I had had a credit card account with them since 2001 according to my credit report and I presumed this was all basically one account as I don't recall applying for a different credit card with them. According to their records I cancelled the ppi on this card in July 2008 hence the tiny redress (can't remember cancelling) - the letter did not outline when this had been calculated from and I had to call to get this info. so, fair enough if I cancelled it fine. They then tell me I have to make a separate claim for the card I had from 2001 with them even though I presumed they would take this into account - fair enough, but they aren't even able to find the account number despite me having the last 4 digits from my credit report. Have been in branch and called ppi department and standard credit card department whom have now sent an email to whomever to track down an account number that was still active up until 2008 but has now suddenly disappeared from the system!?
Has anyone else come across this issue with lloyds?? Really not sure what to do if they come back and say I have to supply the number, should I then complete a sar and see if it pops up in that information?
If they cannot find this then send the Sar, this should throw the account up as it only closed 4 years ago, it is possible they cannot find this info as it has been archived, with a Sar they will look there for it and give you the info they find..

I got £5507.67 ppi cliam paid from HSBC which they said they would pay off debt i owed. on the 24th Feb 2012 they paid £5507.67 to Metropolitan collection servives ( which i knew nothing about no letter phone call nothing)
so when march came i was wondering where the money was going i found out that HSBC paid MCS on 24 feb so after a number of ohone calls i found out they MSC are going to pay a company called wescot £3459 and send me the difference which they did a cheque for £2047

but to this date 09/05/12 MSC have NOT paid wescot the remainder of the money

I have now written to MSC stating that i will proceed with legal action if they do not pay Wescot and also cliaming for the interest since 24/02/12
ANYONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS

need a little bit of advice. Took a secured loan out with future mortgages in 2002 for £5000 over 10 years - introduced to future mortgages through loanline. There was ppi insurance on this secured loan and i was never asked if i needed this in the original application therefore i believe i have been mis-sold. I have copies of the paperwork. I have contacted future mortgages stating that i feel that i have been mis-sold ppi. They forwarded my letter to loanline but unfortunately this company is no longer trading. Apparently this company was not regulated by the financial services authority therefore i cannot claim via the financial services compensation scheme and future mortgages are denying any liability also.

Is there anything else i can do??

fill a form in from this site for ppi reclaim send it to the future mortgages with all the info and wait and see

Hi, Have recieved a final response today to a Barclaycard PPI misselling complaint I entered in December 2011.

"We have identified that your application for PPI was submitted by post. At the point of applying for PPI, as no advice was given the process required you to select the specific type of cover you required."

Barclaycard have confirmed cardholder protectiopn payments were made between 1995 and 2003 and have indicated that during their investigation they have accessed all relevant documentation to my complaint.

I would appreciate the forum's advice regarding the best way to proceed -
    • Issue a SAR to Barclaycard to confirm all transactions on the card and then send my complaint to FOS ? or
    • Send my complaint to FOS staright away ?
I had stated many reasons why I believed the PPI to be missold, the main been that I had been forced to leave my previous employment 2 years prior to the card application due to a chronic medical condition which would have invalidated any future claims.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi
not sure if this is right place but cant work out how to start new thread????
I have recently been lucky enough to get my ppi back on a Northern Rock loan (£8612.64 +£3658.58 interest) and also MBNA credit card (£1447.39 including £374.22 interest) I rang the tax office with debit card in hand, ready to pay the £800 ish Id worked it out to be and after 35 mins of holding on phone I spoke to someone who again kept putting me on hold to "check" things. Eventually she said I could only pay it by altering my tax code -today I got a letter from Tax office saying my tax code was now 407L as opposed to 810L and that I owe them £128.14 because Iv been paid already this year on my old tax code?
Can anyone help me please ,does this sound right? Id worked out I only owe £800 ish so surely that would mean I only paid around £66 extra tax a month or have I got it completely wrong???

I've finally got a breakdown from MBNA on my successful claim and I just wanted to check if this is fair before I cash the cheque:

    Associated interest: £174.76
    8% goodwill £36.42

    TOTAL £488.88

Is this a CC or Loan? CC redress is hard to work out as they use a different formula for redressing these, some banks only go back 6 years when working the redress out, with a Loan it is easier to work out.

Lombard Direct £6780.20 on £12500 loan that was running for 2 years prior to starting my now finished IVA -payable in 28 days.
HBOS 2 x credit cards £267.04 prior to finished IVA - payable any day now.
RBS claim just submitted on 4 loans dating back to 1998 (prior to Lombard Loan above). Got loan details but they can not find loan agreements via SAR but other useful stuff such as account numbers, start dates, loan amounts, interest payable etc and diary entries stating that I had tried to claim for the 'unemployment cover' as it was sold but was not covered as I had resigned!!!! - FINGERS CROSSED ON THIS ONE - Methinks it may be a long shot

Talked my 76yr old Mum through her claim and she got £8460 back from LLoyds form her loan and my wife got £7444 form her Lloyds loan.
Not a bad return for 2 phone calls and even they were free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mum now knows what to do for her Alliance & Leicester(Santander) loan and credit card.
My wife has had her Credit card claim turned down by Lloyds but as they got the details all wrong from their less-than-english speaking call centres she has appealed the decision - response due by end of next week.
