NBZ1978 - Have you heard anything about your complaint yet? Lloyds are still saying they have not heard anything from FOS yet, but FOS said they sent a spreadsheet on 07.03 to them. I have asked FOS to contact Lloyds to confirm they have received it and asked them to call me back with an outcome to which they are kindly doing.0

Just received in our bank account the £3330.00 from Lloyds TSB, whilst there's some confusion about the whole thing, basically it started from December 2011, got notification just about 2 or 3 weeks ago and money in account today.
All in all, we've won just over £4k, we have used a claims company (although not sure if they've got naughty with the Lloyds, still to get response) so could be looking at paying them around just over £1.4k.

Ive had two back now, £900 off welcome finance and awaiting £600 off HSBC to arrive in the bank. Still got one ongoing with Barclaycard.0

Hi all,
As I have had my fair share of help from the posts I have read on here and from Martin's claiming back info. I thought it would be nice for you all to hear how my claims are going so far to spur you on. It may seem like a waste of time but just be patient, keep a note of all your claims and the dates they should be giving you an answer by as if they don't give them a call. I would also recommend sending all letters etc in by recorded delivery as I have done so with all of mine and have had acknowlegement letters off every company.
Firstly back in October 2011 I sent the standard FO PPI complaints form in to Welcome Finance for a £3000 loan I had had with them years and years ago which I had paid off.
Within the 8 week timeframe I had the decision and a form to fill in my bank details for a refund of £2700 which I was more than happy with. The money was in my account within 2 weeks.
Since this success I decided to try my luck with every bank/lender I had ever had credit with (for both PPI and bank charges claims - I will post charges info on that relevant part feed). To be honest most of them are quite old but all are paid off and even though I didn't have any of the account details or wasn't even 100% sure that they had had PPI they are all being looked into as below:
Halifax credit card: Sent in the standard FO complaints form in February have this week received a cheque for £440 which I am happy with.
Barclaycard: Sent in the standard FO complaints form in February and have had an acknowledgement plus a call to advise they are investigating and that I will have an answer by 11th April which will be the 8 weeks.
Argos card: As above sent in the form last week and am awaiting acknowledgment if I don't hear anything by next week.
It really is worth the wait and as I have done this a few times now please feel free to message me with any questions and I'll help if I can.
I will update any further successes I may have0 -
I initially phoned First plus last week to lodge my complaint for mis sold PPI, which i took out in may 2003 and paid off in full in oct 2004.
I have today received a letter from First Plus stating that the loan and insurance was sold to me by CT Capital PLC and that i need to contact them with regards to the complaint. Yet the original agreement just has Firstplus logo and ive never seen or heard of CT Capital PLC.
I have rung CT Capital who have now said that they will deal with the complaint from now on, and will check the iformation provided to them. Any more advice would be appreciated.0 -

Wanted to say thanks for all the info and posts on this site.
Had a result today. Took out TMPP in 2001, paid £49 a month for 84 months before we paid off the mortgage.
Sent a form (from the Halifax site, not this one but they are pretty similar) 20th Feb 2012. Basis of complaint:-
1) I get 6 months full pay, 6 months half pay for sick leave.
2) We were told that we would not be given the mortgage if we didn't take out their TMPP product.
Got a holding letter on 23rd Feb 2012. I spoke to them on the phone today, they have agreed to pay out £3139 in compensation. This is less than we paid in in total, but someone posted a few days ago here, stating that Halifax will refund the PPI element (sick leave, redundancy) but not the life cover element. Given the amount offered, I'm assuming when the letter arrives, this will be the same principle.
£3,000 is a cracking result, especially as lots of people on this forum have stated that Mortgage PPI is rarely misold (although I couldn't find a single post about an actual refusal).
£3,000 equals cleared credit card, modest family holiday and a PS3! In your face, Halifax!
It is regardless of mis sold or not, Halifax are auto upholding claims to get rid of the back log, if they were not inundated with claims at the moment these claims would be investigated fully and a lot more rejections would ensue0 -

CT are who you deal with, what reasons did you use for mis sell with this?.
When you get a response from CT please post up what they say to you and i will help you further.0 -
Hi there,
Advice needed please......
Had Lloyds card for 15 years, I was told that the ppi wasnt optional when I applied in the branch. I said at the time I received sick pay from work, partner worked full time so there would be no problem in covering payments. I definately wasn't told this policy was optional. To be honest, I didnt look at the statements that much and forgot I was paying it. After seeing the media coverage about ppi, I decided to put in a complaint. After 8 weeks Lloyds have said it wasnt mis sold, how do they know this for definate, when I can remember what was said at the meeting? Should I take this any further or is it a losing battle?
I feel very let down by Lloyds and feel Im being penalised when all I was doing was being truthfull!!0 -
They can do this i am afraid, this stinks though as it was their error, give FOS a ring and ask what you can do especially as you were not given any breakdown of how they worked the redress out and you thought the Bank had done this correctly.
Mention the one they said you had no PPI on and query the gesture on this one.
hey thanks for the reply , been in touch with FOS and on lady said they have never heard of this and surly somthing should happen to them because it was their error , she put me through to someone else and i have to wait for natwest to send the break down they say they have re-done ( they have never sent letters ive wanted and im sure because we now owe them this will be sent fast:mad::mad:) anyway the guy i spoke too confused me he said they can ask for it back because a goodwill payment is not a binding contract and they could well have over paid me but again heard nothing like this. If its not a binding contract surly because they have messed be about for so long i can just say well thats your fault not mine so tuff
