Had a letter from Lloyds on wednesday saying my claim had been upheld and they were refunding £818 woo hoo! I only paid ppi for about 8 months before I realised how useless it was to me but I was told in order to cancel it I had to refinance and I ended up having to borrow more money than I had originally. So my refund was made up of the ppi payments I had made and all the difference and early repayment charges etc, plus the 8% interest to 26 March. :j
Now I've seen all the posts on here about how Lloyds are rubbish at paying up so I wasn't really expecting any money anytime soon but would you believe it I checked my balance today and they have paid the money straight into my account only 2 days after I received the letter!
Funniest thing was today a guy from my local Lloyds branch called me to ask me to come in to "evaluate my borrowing" I told him he could shove his meeting as I would be paying off the loan the next time I was in town and I wasn't really interested in any products that Lloyds felt would be suitable for me.
I'm very chuffed with the result and all it took was a couple of stamps and about 10 minutes. I didn't have any copies of loan agreements, just sent screen shots of my internet banking showing the loan and giving rough dates of when I refinanced it. With Capital One I didn't even have the card number just sent them the dates I had it and the addresses I lived at at the time.
Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back! Thank you so much MSE!!
Absolutely fab!!! Congratulations on all your successes, Well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there
This can vary really, as it depends how many months it went on for until either settling or cancellation, interest and so on.
But you should get back all you have paid of the PPI, plus the relevant interest.
Credit Card ppi interest differs to that of loan PPI.
So basically in your case for example - £25 x 60 months (if from 2003 to 08) = £1.5K plus whatever interest charged etc.
I'm sure someone shall be along to explain in more detail over the weekend.
Have you started making a reclaim on this yet?The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Am new to this site, I rang Lloyds Tsb ppi claims line on 7th feb about 3 previous loans, I did not have any loan numbers so they gave me the number of the loan dept and the lady there confirmed I actually had 5 previous loans all with PPI. I received a confirmation letter a week later saying that they are looking into it and I should hear back within 8 weeks, here's hoping its succesfull :j:D Will keep you updated as to the outcome.0

Hiya everyone
And thanks to Martin and his e-mails I was offered just £2180 ish from lloyds for mis selling of ppi I received the letter confirming this on 10.03.2012. On Monday a partial refund of £645 was transferred to my bank as I was curious I rang them to see why I had only received a partial refund. They advised interest etc and they advised I would receive the rest shortly..... this hasnt happened yet. Has anybody else received their refund like this any info would be much appreciated
thanks SueAfter the game,

What you were reclaiming: Barclays Overdraft PPI x2accounts
Who was the provider: Barclays Bank
How much did you get back:
Account 1: £784.84
Account 2: £444.30
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: FOS questionnares sent 2nd February
Looking through other peoples stories I decided to give it a go. Phoned the Barclays Dublin office and a very helpful lady reeled off account numbers and dates of when the accounts were open.
Sent off FOS questionnares on th 2/2/12 and recieved a response on account 1 on 16/3/12 and account 2 13/3/12 upholding my complaints. These amounts will be credited to my Bank account that I no longer use with Barclays.
These 2 accounts are still overdrawn at present, but now no longer, so debt free from Barclays as these amounts pay off the existing overdrafts.
So for anyone thinking about reclaiming, go on do it
Do it yourself though as it is very easy and all monies will be yours (except the 8% interest is taxable)
It took only 6 weeks for Them to get back to me, which I thought was pretty quick for Barclays.
Now I will try for a Loan I took out in 1996 and my 2 Barclaycards.0 -

They sometimes pay the 8% separate to the redress, they will give you the rest but this is Lloyds we are talking about!, some have had quick payments and others have waited a long time.0 -

Please help!
Had a reply from HSBC saying they uphold my complaint on my credit card and confirm I had a PPI policy from Sept 2003 to Dec 2003 when I cancelled the policy.
They say that due to the age of the policy they do not have records so cannot locate any evidence I was charged any PPI!!
They ask me for documentation and statements, but I do not have any, I did a SAR request awhile ago on some old loan accounts with them but they didnt hold any documents due to their age so I dont expect them to have any for this credit card.
What I dont get is if they are saying I DID have PPI for 4 months why are they saying they cannot see I was charged any PPI??
Any advice on what to do now I'd be very grateful.
Thanks
Has anyone else had this happen with HSBC?0 -
:jTo take a line from from a song " It may be winter outside but in my heart it's spring" Just had a reply from the Halifax today they have upheld my complaint of one of my loans. Not sure how they have worked it out but am well chuffed. There were a succession of loans, one refinancing the other from 2001 to 2005 when the last was consolidated into the mortgage. This particular loan was for 3k over 60 months £972.60 was added for the PPI for this period. This was refinanced 14 months later. They have said in their letter that the offer is including PPI on loans that were opened in June 1999. I have no recollection or paperwork with regards to this one. Their offer calculation is a s follows:
Refund of premiums £128.16
Refund of Interest at 16.9% £33.48
Interest at 8% till 11/4/2012 £154.10
=£315.74
The offer tho is £765.22
Not complaining but cant really make head no tail of it. Any thoughts?
Well my first success, still waiting to hear about the other three, crossing fingers. It makes up for the disappointment from MBNA last week.
Thanks to all you guys for the help and HOPE.
Forgot to say, this took one phone call on the 20th of Feb, they took details of all the loans. First response letter within 5 days and then this today. With Our Thoughts. We make our world - Buddha
